Character Information

Summary

A former soldier of fortune turned Shadowrunner, Redman, or William was a fierce man, known for his skill with a shotgun. Whether it was within Africa as a glorified pest control, or in Germany as a merc, he's the one you can count on to clear out an area, leaving no survivors. Definitely not one to be on the business end of...

Goals

His main goal is to get enough money to start his own family, and get out of the business of Shadowrunning, supporting his family, he prefers that this be achieved without a life insurance payout. A secondary goal of his is to kill the former leader of the mercenary group he once ran with, Hartman Zylos, before it is the other way around.

Background

Born in 2043 to a majority Ork neighborhood, Will had a relatively poor but caring family with a distinguished military history. He managed to sort of get along with Orks, albeit one based off of a mutual fear. However, there was a mutual respect between the two. A large amount of his skill would be acquired in his childhood, helping out gangs maintain their firearms, and was inspired by old Soldier of Fortune magazines that were much older than him. He ran with a gang for a little bit, but left to become a Soldier of Fortune. Thankfully gifted with Adept Powers, he would use them to his advantage, making him a more desirable soldier to hire.

Will`s first employment would be in Africa, and his career almost ended as quickly as it began when he was hired to help clear out an infestation of creatures. After a battle resulted in only him and 2 others surviving, he would gain a definite distrust of electronic weapons due to a glitch disabling them. His big break however would be during the Amazonian Wars within an infamous mercenary company known as the Kylos Red, or more notably, the KR Lynchers. His career would be filled with atrocities, which eventually culminated in the liquidation of a village, where he would kill two of his fellow comrades who perpetrated it.

He would wander around, doing odd mercenary jobs. His discovery of Shadowrunning came after being hired by a Corp for a particular run.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Agile Defender: Years of training and combat experience have given William the ability to dodge any attack that can come his way

Common Sense: Spending enough time within violent war-zones exposes one to lots of danger, and it helps to know whether something that seems correct might actually be very wrong.

Perfect Time: How does one figure out the time when there are no clocks to be found? Ask William, who has somehow figured out the foolproof way to determine, and count the time even without a watch.

School of Hard Knocks: Growing up in any tough neighborhood makes one learn to watch their back or able to put up a decent fight, when surrounded by beings that can lift up cars, that's on a whole different level. Will knows the ways of the street and when something ain't exactly a good idea.

Sharpshooter: Years of practice by William have taught him how to use even shotguns accurately and practically.

Dependent (Inconvenience): Being the most financially successful of the family however has its drawbacks, one of them being that you also have to watch over other. In Williams case, this would be his niece, Emily Rako, whose Elvish mother is constantly at work to support her, and father is unfit to parent, so Will has to take over sometimes, thankfully he does not see it as much as a burden.

Family Curse

Prejudiced (Elves, Biased): “Keebs always lie, that's why they are not to be trusted.”, justified or not, William has a distrust towards Elves, mostly because of past experiences being screwed over by them. He has been losing little some distrust towards elves because of Emily’s mother, though he is still reluctant to work with Elves.
