Character Information

Background

Born in Chicago Sophia was always known for her stoic and ruthless attitude, not too far from her parent's own. From a young age Sophia knew that she was destined for greatness, and not by some strings of fate but by her own hand. She learned how to take authority over others, how to intimidate them, and how to keep an eye out for any plots. For better or worse, these skills only got better the older she got, and she got more subtle. She awakened during puberty in an outburst about something she can't even remember any longer. This fueled her self-worth to near-narcissim.

Sophia joined the military at 18, being already rather adept at magic she was quickly accepted and began advancing her career. Among her colleagues she actually got along rather well with, at least by her terms. They listened when she commanded, held their weight, and kept the insults to when she wasn't there. She actually was initially nicknamed 'Ruined' here, something she clipped for a later name.

A few years down the line when Sophia was in her early twenties she met Ruby. Ruby was the polar opposite to her in every way, she was playful, energetic, even happy and somehow she had a burning passion for her work. Ruby was a growing pharmacist with the grand goal of saving the world one life at a time! She was innocent, one of the few people left that held onto it in a world of corporates. For a reason Sophia never understood, she latched onto Sophia. Pestering her and gradually breaking down the walls that Sophia had erected over years. Slowly Sophia found happiness and how nice it was to have someone to talk to. The two married a few years later when Sophia was 24, and around this time Sophia had lightened up considerably. Her nickname partly stuck but became hollow and rarely used, if ever just to jab at her past.

Ruby was unfortunately not around much longer. It was just an accident in a testing facility, a simple mistake that ended up completely melting Ruby. Sophia was mostly wallowing in depression and may had one day returned to her senses if not less than a few months later a chemical weapon was released with a very familiar effect of what had happened to Ruby. Sophia immediately doubted the corpos, turned to blame and anger coming to the conclusion that even if it wasn't intentional they used her death for profit in the end. Sophia couldn't stay in the military, she needed to fight back. She left the military and found an old friend. Another widow, Adria and a fixer. She became a shadowrunner through Adria and vowed to take down the ruthless corporations or die trying. Even if that meant playing nice with some of them, she'd burn a hole in one pocket and cripple another. A net-loss for corpos as a whole. And better yet that money would loop right back to stealing more money from them.

Goals

Destroy the pharmaceutical corp that Ruby worked for.

Find solid evidence of what happened to Ruby and whether it really was an accident or not.

Get Adria well established as a thanks.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Positive

Military Background - Sophia knows the military like the back of her hand, she spent a good few years focusing entirely on it and how to advance through it. During which she also picked up Small Unit Tactics.

Perceptive - Sophia was born with incredible vision, it only contributed to her ego.

Negative

Technologically Destructive - Sophia simply can't get tech to work in her favor. With Simsense Vertigo and 4 ranks of Gremlin the only piece of technology she's comfortable using is comms and vehicles if necessary.
