Summary

A pair of modest tusks give Theodore "Thud" Baker a permanent downcast aspect, though determination burns in his darkly bagged eyes. Dense Brown hair hangs to between his shoulder blades, sometimes pulled up in a pony tail. Gnarled knuckles from one too many bar fights seem out of place on his thinner frame, but a wiry strength is obvious. While maintaining a serious and distant demeanor, glimpses of genuine mirth can be caught when his façade slips.

Background

Growing up above a mostly Ork dive bar run by his grandfather, Thud saw conflict early and often. His grandfather taught him to shoot, fight, speak Or'zet and he learned Japanese through countless samurai trids. As his grandfather grew too old to run the bar Thud found himself bartending, breaking up fights and bouncing. Business suffered and eventually a rival gutted the place with a fire. Furious Thud found the three responsible for the blaze and shot all three in the back while they were sitting at a bar. Among the dead was the son of a local gang boss, who vowed to end Thud. The rep that one act earned him drove him from his home near Lake Superior, West like so many before him, to Seattle.

• During his flight west, he often slept outside, or in abandoned buildings. Staying awake while listening for pursuit or danger became so much of a habit he now has trouble sleeping at all.
