Summary
An elven teenager from a local talismonger family has fled the coop and gotten involved in some weirdness involving trees and treehouse spirits in on the Tacoma/Auburn Border. The team is there to try and talk some sense into him, or at least bring him home in one piece.
Background
The owners of a popular Talismonger location from the Tarislar has been letting their kid run wild for the past few years, culminating into him being taken in by a group of Plant spirits as he breaks from the family shamanism and goes hard into green mage.
In the meantime a copse of tree spirits is taking a hint from the local Gianelli mob and beginning to start a low key extortion and racketeering ring from mill employees.
The team has been sent in to find the kid before he gets himself in deep with the law or Gianelli's.
The Meet
The team has a simple meeting with Vic in a Tacoma coffee shop, they groused a bit about the pay when realizing they were taking after an awakened teenager with a propensity for mind magic, but ultimately took the job. Moving straight to find the guy and skipping a large chunk of the general info to grab.
The Plan
The team opted to go straight for the Search spirit power upon getting pictures of the kid, taking them to a wooded park in Tacoma on the edge of an industrial neighborhood. The plan was basically to stake it out and find an opportunity.
The original plan may have been to go grab the kid but when they realized he was living in a F10 treehouse spirit a stakeout commenced, at least.
The Run
Try as they might the team ended up stymied by a copse of large plant spirits including the realistic treehouse spirit who were clearly staking out the Mill and with the kid living inside them.
The kid was smart, and quick, able to slip in and out a few times past the noses of the characters as they staked him out for a few days, dodging cops, gianelli gangsters and the neighborhood watch eyes. Pockets staying well and away from the rest of the group and acting like general park trash to keep eyes on. Most everyone stayed overnight or drove by regularly except Zero who did go home for a little shut eye.
The players did see some of the tree spirit extortion happening but opted not to get involved, staying directly on the target until they finally waylaid him sneaking down to the bathrooms in the park and got him into a van before the tree spirits noticed he was gone.
Aftermath
A somber teenager was returned home, a lot richer and wiser about the nature of spirits.
Some tree spirits lost the moderating factor on their blackmail ring and took things up a huge notch on the folks at the mill.
Gianelli's are still unsure what the hell is happening in their neighborhood.

Game Quotes
Player After Action Reports (AARs)
Exodus - "To be honest, I respect the operation. I'm not particularly familiar with spirits, and I don't really know what it's like to be awakened. Only Juli does. That said... I suppose spirits can follow orders just like metahumans, and he wasn't exploiting them. A shame we had to end it, but it is what it is."
