Summary
Some "monsters" need to be cleared out of some tunnels, so sayith the Knights of Fillianore.
Background
Ghostwire's infected colonies have been under extreme harassments of late and today was no different. The Knights of Fillianore wanted them dead and were willing to trick a group of runner into doing it for them.
The Meet
Oracle and Brazen Bull met their shared fixer Pierce at one of his fight clubs to get the details of the job. A group was looking for help clearing out some "monsters" from the tunnels of the ork underground. The job sounded innocuous enough so they both decided to head over and get more details. The team hitched a ride to the meet location and discussed the job with Eleanora Argyle, the crews local commander. Eleanora explained that the tunnels below were infested with monsters, rats and the like, and needed their numbers thinned out so that some of their younger recruits could come in and get some practice finishing up the job. The pay, 10,000Y. Oracle was suspicious of the job but had nothing solid to go on and the team agreed and entered the tunnels. On their way in they were warned about some possible traps, nothing too concerning.
The Run
Oracle and BB moved through the tunnel, covering each other as they moved and hypervigilant of possible encounters. Not long in a trip wire connected to a bundle of flashbangs were narrowly avoided, un phased the team continued deeper. Eventually BB spotted a rat in a wall and immediately stabbed at it. The rat died but in the process another flashbang concealed in the wall was set off. No runners were harmed but the ray lay dead. The team was then swarmped by rats, Oracle slashed at them while BB laid down suppressive fire. The rats were driven back, as if called away. Confused the team continued until they found a well kept door. Inside instead of more rats, the team located a group of ghouls lead by Ghostwire. Oracle and BB were pissed, and did not like being taken advantage of. They struck a deal with the ghouls, the team would lure the group into the tunnels and ambush them. Meanwhile the ghouls would attempt to draw some of the weaker forces to another section of tunnel.
The ploy worked and the team engaged the main force as the entered. Despite strong resistance and numerous explosives the team prevailed. Eleanora and her team lay dead, but the exit tunnel also collapsed in the fighting and the team returned to the ghouls to discuss alternate exits. The ghouls that remain informed the team of a back entrance that connected with the collapsed tunnel further ahead and may still be clear. The team followed this tunnel and found Ghostwire. While unhappy with the tunnel collapse he was pleased the Knights were dealt with and requested that they stop by the S3I headquarters where they could be provided a proper payment for a job well done.
Aftermath
The team successfully escaped the tunnels and went over to S3I where WRN3 offered them a fine reward for their efforts.
