Summary
Boomstick is an orkish man with a stern demeanor. Billing himself mostly as a gunhand to prospective runs, his summoning abilities can also be utilized when buckshot fails.
Goals
Make rent, buy bigger guns, destroy Lone Star property when the opportunity arises.
Background
Born and raised in Memphis, James Durant joined Lone Star to help people. Protect those in need, uphold the law, the whole thing. He soon learned that was a load of drek. Them and all the other security companies are only in it for themselves and whoever can afford them. Laws are used as weapons and shackles, not shields. Soon he found himself giving info to sympathetic runners for quick creds, then security codes, then guns.
About 6 years ago, James started seeing things. What started as blurs and abstract shapes eventually focused into people who weren't there. He thought at first that the stress of the job had broken him. Once one of these visions punched him in the soul, he realized that he'd had Awakening, and a very late one at that.
This Awakening earned him a transfer to Memphis's Department of Magical Investigation. He developed his new talent with guidance from Alligator, who he'd met in visions and dreams before fully realizing what was happening.
Unfortunately, the promotion form average beat cop to late-bloomer magical cop garnered increased scrutiny from the department. He ghosted when his superiors caught on to his side gig on the shadownet. Lone Star's less active in Seattle, and he knows soem criminal elements based in the area. Running probably pays better anyway.
