Summary
An investigation of a recent missing person, Teresa Milan, which involved a careful breaking and entering plan followed by an encounter with the supposed missing person in her home, who had been turned into a banshee.
Background
Garuda, fresh runner to Seattle, had been in desperate need of work to get her mind off of personal problems and was hoping to get some sort of rush like she did on her first encounter. As she was resting in her home in Auburn, she was contacted by her fixer Lucky with a job opportunity in Snohomish. Not wanting to rot alone in her apartment, she gathered her things and began making her way across the city.
The Meet
Arriving somewhat late to the meet due to the traffic, Garuda met up with one Isobel Catalan, someone completely unknown to her but with a familiar pale tone and gothic fashion. Isobel tasked her with a relatively simple operation: A rather affluent woman named Teresa Milan, someone who Ms. Catalan's contacts were keeping an eye on, had gone missing about 2 weeks prior. Garuda was tasked with investigating her home for any possible leads and reporting back to Isobel with whatever she found. Simple. Something seemed rather "amusing" to Isobel, which had Garuda somewhat concerned, but she decided it wasn't relevant enough to the situation at hand and decided to just get on with the job.
The Plan
Use the matrix to find out as much information prior to infiltration as possible, minimize contact as much as possible, then make a quick investigation on site to gather any analog info before making an escape. If no valuable leads were gathered on site, use camera information on the public grid to at least recreate Ms. Milan's last appearance before her disappearance.
The Run
Garuda began with a quick matrix search on Teresa, looking through social media and any other public appearances to find out what she can. Beyond her usual affluent behaviors, charity participation, and other activities that Garuda will not be telling anyone out of embarrassment, three important factors stuck out to her. The first being the move from a properly secured place of affluence to a less secure home in Snohomish. The second was that about 6 months back, Ms. Milan had slowly begun appearing publicly less and less, which was odd considering how much of a socialite she was according to the search. The last one was that this woman was an Awakened of some kind, who was frequently at clubs and social gatherings with other Awakened to espouse about their superiority. After a quick look around the perimeter with her fly spy found the place was locked up too tight for it to get far with an alarm system and security system in place, Garuda approached on site to the walled off perimeter to begin looking for a way to circumvent the defenses. A disarming of a data bomb and shutting off of the devices in the host proved to not be much of a challenge given the host's lack of defenses. The very large windows that were a bit too high up for the 5'4" changeling proved to be a more formidable foe until spite overpowered her lacking athleticism. Once inside, Garuda found most of the home to be surprisingly empty and...mundane. Well, mundanely affluent. No signs of a struggle, no break ins, just a locked basement door. A device locked but with wireless off. Odd. After forcing the door to give to her commands, she found Teresa's magical lodge, which contained a plethora of magical do-hickeys the little changeling wasn't familiar with but which seemed concerning like some sort of evil tradition...and a fridge. And...to her dismay, she found blood bags in the fridge. Realizing her target was a banshee, possibly turned about 6 or so months back, and magically gifted, the little bird made the wise decision to start hoofing it out the window and towards safety, when she encountered Ms. Milan. On the porch. Ready to deal with her. Thankfully for the rigger, her roto-drone was on hand and prepared to deal with threats she might encounter and the banshee was more interested in making this intruder suffer instead of just killing her immediately, taking her time to try and knock the woman unconscious before draining her. After realizing her odds of outrunning the banshee were slim, she jumped into her drone and began to perforate the banshee's skull with her roto's AK-97, leaving her bleeding and unconscious. Despite the discomfort and shaken state the changeling was in after feeling the icy magic of the banshee, she couldn't bring herself to leave the woman to die after her last murder back in Massachusetts, and did all she could to ensure Teresa's survival: administering first aid and dragging her off the streets she was chased to back to her porch.
Aftermath
Garuda contacted Isobel and informed her of all she learned, as well as the fact that Teresa should still be alive at her porch, handily resolving the whole "missing person" ordeal. Isobel seemed rather pleased with that, and stated she would go and have a chat with this new banshee about...related matters. Garuda was sufficiently distracted, though not much better off mentally than she was before, heading back home to calm herself down after the harrowing encounter. Isobel's associates later retrieved Ms. Milan for that "conversation".

Frankly, went as well as a run like that could have gone. Doing a simple breaking and entering run is one thing, that's all well and good. But fighting a banshee like that...not the best timing. Felt like it was engineered to put me in bind...
Wondering who the hell this Isobel Catalan is, and I need to find out more on the infected situation here. When I came to this city I didn't think it'd be so...plentiful. Ugh.
Gonna think twice before doing solo work again.
