Summary
Nearl and Marrisa have gone to the Barrens near Glow City, seeking out cultists to kill. They'll get their wish and prompt greater paranoia amongst the Children of the Light.
Background
The pair had met only online - but when Marrisa saw an opportunity to lead someone into killing toxic cultists, she pulled Nearl in for a bit of mischief.
The Meet
The pair met in the Barrens, then prowled around until they came upon a small crowd of Barrens folk, gathered about an aging missionary and a half dozen men with guns. Their eyes met - and then they got to work.
The Plan
The plan was simply to commit violence.
The Run
A pair of spirits swooped in, striking down a guard and nearly taking the head off the missionary - who crashed to the ground from the soapbox just in time to keep his head from being taken off.
Marrisa blitzed in, swinging her lightning blade and cutting the enemies down to size without hesitation. Nearl raised a wand - and declared that the preacher had breathed his last, striking him down with a prepared spell.
The couple paltry guards remaining tried to run, but they could not flee quickly enough.
Aftermath
The Children of the Glow were left missing a couple of members and a single awakened - and the Barrens lost a few lost souls.
