Doomsday Clock Raid
It's everywhere, the stream dropped onto just about every P2.1, forum and broadcast host on the grid.
The feed shows the old nuclear doomsday clock, and there is a man in an unusual mix of business shinto robes and an armor jacket standing in front of it, his face blurred.
The clock reads two hours to midnight. As the man starts moving the clock hands, a distorted voice starts speaking
"Though the specter of nuclear Armageddon no longer haunts us, there are other threats to this world."
The clock settles in a ticking pattern to match the speaker's words, ticking away the seconds towards doomsday. As the speaker extends their list, images, logos and symbols appear to accentuate their point
"Chronic Pollution.
Toxic Landscapes.
Rampant Homelessness.
So many people without the ability or allowance to get the bare nutrients they need to survive.
Our very emotions cause toxicity in the astral - And in the Matrix.
Wars in the name of 'Peace'.
Peacebringers giving calls to war.
Our very lives are packaged, filtered, processed, numbered, and sold to someone else.
Vengeful creatures loose in every realm we know how to explore.
The corps are at each other's throats, tearing each other down, and propping up those that should be long dead.
Nanotech caused massive percentages of the population to lose their own identities.
Creatures from the deep of the matrix want to destroy us and everything we made.
Ares is a swarming bug spirit hive, attempting to consume the world.
And all these things seem to have a common root, the greatest apocalypse we know; The capitalistic, consumeristic Corporate Court."
The clock's hands now rest at one second to midnight
"The clock has been ticking, and now we want to remind the world; It's one second to midnight. What are you going to do about it?"
The video cuts to black, the clock hand teetering over the precipice of that last second
