Character Information

Summary

One of a pair of identical twins, Dyre Autha was formerly a productive and wealthy member of society, now working as a penniless shadowrunner with his sister, Blight. Learned in magic, law, and the right side of a handgun, Dyre is a competent runner in his own right, but is marred by his caution, sanity, and an undivorceable sense of morality.

Goals

  • Prevent his twin sister Blight from getting killed as she seeks to ruin a corporation.
  • Recoup the losses from his home burning down by turning a profit from shadowrunning.
  • Eventually retire from shadowrunning once his sister has quelled her thirst for blood and he has enough money to live a normal life again.

Background

Dark smoke and bright flames linger in Dyre's mind even now, long after his home was burned to the ground by an intolerant hate group. He and his sister had lost everything but their minds, and it seemed like Blight had lost even that. Insurance would cover it, he thought, but the bastards even burned their SINs. How? It was still a mystery to him. Regardless, no corporation would honor insurance contracts to a pair of SINless twins. It was all gone. They would have to start from scratch.

Oddly motivated by this turn of events, Blight had proposed an insane idea to Dyre. Shadowrunning. The idea was crazy enough to begin with, but it was quickly followed up by an even crazier one. Spited by corporations turning their backs in their time of need, and having hated them to begin with, Blight told Dyre that she was going after one, whether he helped her or not. After unsuccessfully attempting to persuade her to be reasonable, Dyre eventually accepted that she had some sort of a death wish. He joined her in her pursuits for the sole purpose of keeping her from getting herself killed, and maybe if he was lucky, he'd hit the jackpot and they would be able to resume the luxurious existence they had all that time ago.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Dyre agreed to become a Shadowrunner with Blight on one condition: no innocents get harmed (Code of Honor). At the end of the day, he wants his new "job" of sorts to stay as clean as possible. In an attempt to further that goal, Dyre has dedicated his magical studies to ensure the safety of his sister, fellow runners, and any non-participating bystanders (Arcane Bodyguard).

Dyre and Blight mark their jobs with a signature in the matrix, material plane, and astral (Signature). Her idea. In the matrix, swirling petals of a black rose slowly revolve around nothing. In the astral, a slowly wilting thorny stem gradually deteriorates. In the material, a single black rose is left at the scene of the crime.

Appearance

Clothing

Dyre's appearance marks a man who had it all and lost it all. His shabby shirt, pants, and shoes are offset by a designer cloak and prohibitively expensive biotech ears and prehensile tail that resemble feline features. His face is young, difficult to determine how much is youth and how much is elven elegance. Black curtains of hair cascade down an almost feminine face, draping either side of deep blue eyes that sit atop a fairly short stature for an elven male.

Matrix Persona

Elemental humanoid. Home themed by element Swirl of all the elements.
