Character Information

Summary

Expat from Neotokyo, effectively self-trained as an infil B&E/off-muscle 'Ninja'. No formal training.

Goals

  • Attain formal training in Ninjitsu/ possible induction into a Clan
  • Gain good relations with the yakuza in Seattle
  • Maybe find someone to swear fealty to as a retainer? (highly optional)

Background

Born to slum scum in the outer sprawls of Neotokyo, Tsuki grew up self-reliant, self-motivated, and eager to get out of her crappy ghetto-home area. Awakening helped this, because it started giving her the edge she needed in what she was quickly learning was her particular forte - getting in and out of places she wasn't meant to be in, and not letting anyone know she had been there. And, of course, robbing a place blind. As with most teens of rare talent in less-than-legal professions, she ended up being scouted by the Yakuza. The Mita-gumi, specifically. Of course, not for induction - talented and magical and human as she may have been, she was still in the end a woman. But, of course, hiring her for odd jobs was acceptable. In this way, she made her living until the age of 21. It was, unfortunately, at this age that her own personality eccentricities came back to bite her. One of the Mita-gumi contacts that assigned her jobs started getting overly demanding of her time in overly personal ways, and she left him with a missing index finger and a scar along his chest for the trouble. This, naturally, lead to very quick tie-cutting and a very hasty exit from the city (and the nation) for Tsuki. She ended up in Seattle, where she gravitated to the career that naturally lent itself to an adrift, criminal youngster. A few shady deals and agreements later, she had a new Gumi that was willing to let her do tasks best not done by 'honorable' organization members, which included a pipeline to the shadows.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Mentor Spirit: Raven: Karasu-Tengu is appreciative of those who never fail to strike when their opponent is beleaguered, or those who delight in the misfortunes of others. So it is that he guides Edge, teaching her to step lightly and without notice.

Prejudice (Common): Westeners: Edge has, in her time in seattle, found that Westeners are A: boorish, B: gawkish, and/or C: crass. Her opinion is, suffice to say, less than stellar.
