A low ranking Horizon talent agent, that now seeks to earn a name in the shadows as a face and smuggler.
Goals
- Learn how to become a successful smuggler and a better mage.
- Kill her former manager, Garvey Veinstein.
- Reconnect which her former clients, who she shared an almost familial bond.
- Raise through Horizon's ranks and/or become a matrix star!
Background
Blake was born and raised upon the festive streets of New Orleans to a destitute orc family comprising of a conman and a druidic gypsy. She managed to escape her caste by signing onto Horizon's hype train, and landed a job managing some of their matrix personalities. Her life during this time was complex. Her dedication to the company, her bosses, and her desire to climb the corporate ladder lead her to commit undignified acts, scarring her ethics and wounding her modesty. She was often forced to 'influence' her cast of stars in order to align them with her department's image, whether through drug use, blackmail, threats, or subtle manipulations. The line was finally crossed when a client of hers screwed the pooch royally by admitting the abuses she'd suffered by one of their more touchy employers… The same employer ordered Blake to have the young starlet meet with a fatal accident, reasoning that her close relationship would make it easier to strike an effective blow. While she'd done some horrid things in the past, her contempt for the man and the treacherous nature of the act broke her. She instead faked the starlet's and burned most of the favors she'd accrued over the years to transfer herself over to Seattle. Hand in hand with the now 'deceased' starlet ,she jetted over new megacity to start a new. Hey little to work with in this new sprawl she was forced to use the skills her father and Horizon taught her to run in the shadows. Yet even when skirting the law, it was long until Horizon found out... and offered her more work as a shadowrunner.
Narrative Significant Qualities
Positive
Mentor Spirit: Dove Her mother was a druidic priestess when she was alive and always followed the advise of her mentor, the dove. When she passed away when Blake was 14, she dreamed out her mother being whisked away on wings of white feathers parting the message "We'll perhaps see each other again... in a new life". Afterward her mother's mentor began to appear before her, and continued the training her mother had been giving her.
Good Looking and Knows It Its hard to get anywhere in Horizon without a little bit of biosculpting, cosmetic surgery, and a bit of magic to tweak her appear. On top of that she had access to incredibly talented make up artists and fashion designers, who taught her more than a few tricks to help her clients. As a result of her habitual beauty ritual and good genetics she found stunning results... results she's kind of regretting now that she needs to pass by without drawing every other eye in the room... especially in the shadier parts of the world.
Negative
Dry Addict (Mild): BTLs Life in the corporate world wasn't always roses and sunshine. Mood and reality enhancers really helped her get through the day, and the more undignified acts of her work week. While she was never officially given permission to use them, she once had easy access to a plethora of chips as they were an essential tool in control her clients. While she's been off of them for a few months now, she still feels their grasp on her, resulting in her being more mellow, complacent and easier to order about. She also has the odd synesthesia reaction to very vibrant colors which sends an ASMR like tingle down her spine.
Social Stress: Publicly Disciplined and Humiliated Her work place was a world of psychological torture, and filled with masters of the art. You were never officially disciplined as that would require to much paperwork. Instead you were humiliated, demeaned, and manipulated into following the lead of your supervisor. Even to this day, the though of standing in front of a crowd and receiving a verbal beating frightens her more that taking physical injury. When forced into these situations she tends to have a hard time speaking between stammers, and has a hard time making complex decisions.
Unenchanted Blake was never anywhere close to a master at enchanting objects, but after her mother died attempting a ritual to create an magical artifact capable of reviving the druid's grove she was unable and unwilling to touch the subject. Appearance
Stand at around 6'7", with fiery red skin, soft amber eyes, and styled charcoal colored hair that comprise her pleasant features Fire Cracker causes her to stands out in a crowd. A spotlight that most would think a meek sounding girl would flounder in , but its only because she manages to hide her confident and ruthless personality she gain from corporate work from the public.
Clothing
She was forced to abandon her libertine suits and flashy gowns for the infinitely more rugged wear of the non-corporate world. Yet she still attempts to maintain a small wardrobe of fashionable outfits with the help of her roommate, but on a skint budget its difficult. To help with this she usually just employs the use of AR fashion to make up the difference, or when the laundry's taking just a bit long. When things get tough or on a run she opts for an old red Chinese army jacket she bought for cheap and patched together into a reasonable look. Together with has a small red, white striped racing moped helmet she hopes to remain safe while ducking through the shadows.

Comforts[Rank 3]: While its far from luxury, their small apartment has a few appliances in working conduction including a small used Roomba-like cleaning drone they've affectionately call 'Alfred'. They have some comfortable furniture bought second hand and with AR switched on the space even looks decent! Though they'd love to afford have separate bedrooms in the future, as it stands they sleep in the same king sized bed that makes up the majority of their bedroom.
Neighborhood[Rank 3]: The buildings in their neighborhood have their paint peeling and the utilities are rations, it has hot water and a security guard that occupational checks the camera feeds. Both have gotten used to the lack of privacy the small space (and occupation micro-camera Horizon Group sneaks in to sell a feed for some livestreaming) instills. But neither of them we're all that used to having any privacy being Horizon employees.
Entertainment[Rank 3]: Combined the two girls have managed to scrape together a decent AR fashion subscription [Casual and Business] and an upgraded Matrix grid subscription to keep themselves sane whilst trapped in their tiny home. Most of their free time is spent trolling the troll, using their good looks and sharp tongues to get a few free drinks. On a good night they might even bum a rocking night on the town and a someone to warm their bed at night with some of the middle class folk.
Security[Rank 3]: The two girls sleep somewhat soundly at night knowing that their doors are electrically locked, a mean looking (until you get to know him) Rottweiler is chained next door and a bored security guard is generally about... not to mention the fact her roommate's a troll!.
