Summary

A Seattle orc thrill seeker with a lot of attitude. Loves the thrill of living on the edge and sees Shadow running as a fun way to make money his way. Only knows Alessa P but is eager to get to running. A street samurai who's not afraid of getting in the muck of it. Bit too reckless to deal with the Johnson but can be pointed in the right direction and get the job done.

Goals

- To make contacts in the Seattle area

- To assemble a reliable number of runners as allies

- To make it so every shadow runner in Seattle knows his name and that he did the craziest runs and came out the other end alive.

Background

Gryphon grew up as one of the many punks in the Seattle slums. From a early age, Gryphon ran with a gang called the Shocks, a group of the orphans  from the slums who wore blue and black but grew into a bike gang. The Shocks were a nuisance to the local area, pulling pranks, doing stunts, and committing light vandalism. Griffon himself got his records on file at Renraku for some choice graffiti on a corp building. The Shocks stayed together for most of Gryphon's life but started to get more extreme towards the end. The members started getting augments and toting bigger guns, Gryphon included. The gang ended up breaking up after the ringleaders got locked up, Gryphon  still rocks the Shocks colors in memory of his old friends. Eventually, Gryphon got lucky and mangaged to start working at The Daze as hired muscle. The job payed well and Gryphon saved up some money but the ork just did not have the impulse control to be a security guard. One day, Gryphon happened to run into one of the many shadowrunners who used Alessa P as a fixer. Gryphon realized that if he wanted to be able to live freely that he could not stay where he was. The ork spoke to Alessa P the next day and asked about shadowrunning. The pixie gave the ork the name of some group called Shadowhaven.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Negative

Distinctive Style: Gryphon's tattoos, electric blue decaled cyber arm, and general attitude make it very hard to forget him.

Poor Self Control (thrill seeker): Gryphon does not just fear crazy tasks, he loves them and can barely contain himself when he sees an opportunity to be crazy.

Records on File (Renraku): A creatively filthy graffiti job on a Renraku office building got the corp to file Gryphon as a troublemaker to watch out for.

Uncouth: Gryphon for the life of himself cannot hold back his thoughts, no matter how inappropriate or profanity laden they might be. This quality has made any customer service job a very big no for Gryphon.

Symbols and Signatures

Gryphon has a motif of electric blue and black in his clothing. Gryphon still wears the symbols of the Shocks, a massive lightning bolt on his arm and on the back of his jacket. It is distinctive enough that it could be remembered.

Appearance

Clothing

Gryphon tends to rock an armored jacket lined with shocks of electric blue, his left cyberarm sticking out prominently. The jacket has a emblazoned lightning bolt and "Get Fragged" on the back. Below the jacket, Gryphon tends to wear a black tanktop or maybe a Mariners or Supersonics jersey underneath the jacket. For pants, Gryphon either has on some standard camo cargo pants or jeans and second hand combat boots. Finally on runs, Gryphon tends to wear his modified sunglasses and earbuds or a ballistic mask to hide his identity.
