Character Information

Background

Takashi was born the unwanted son of a Yakuza Shategashira and a common whore. He lived a comfortable life and was provided with a private education, partially to avoid embarrassing his father, where he learned swordplay along with his normal studies. In secret, he worked on his hacking skills, learning from his computer classes and applying the weaknesses he saw. At 13 he begged for a fresh pair of cyberarms, and his father agreed for 2 reasons. Firstly, his son was poor at swordplay and Cyberlimb Optimisation could help prevent embarrassment. Secondarily, his son's arms were covered in obvious scars from his use of bliss, a habit he picked up from his mother, and this would require his son to switch to inhalation. Only a year after getting 'wared up he awakened as an adept, but everyone in his life saw this as a waste for he had already lost so much of himself to 'ware, laziness, and degeneracy. He became further ostracised by his family and began rubbing shoulders with those outside of the Yakuza umbrella. Orks, hackers, addicts, homeless, BTL heads, and the like. He found kinship. He didn't want the life his father expected for him and he didn't want to become a burden (his father's term) like his mother. He worked on kicking his drug habit, trained harder on his sword and hacking skills, and began experimenting magically. He had nothing to go off of for magic and developed as a Chaos tradition adept, but he wasn't forever without guidance. As his skills developed he heard whispers from dark corners, he found inspiration at just the right moments, and he found himself excelling further martially. Spider had chosen him and he began to form his magical abilities as both a hacker and a swordsman. The ultimate act of rebellion was when he underwent cosmetic surgery to appear as an ork and fled Japan - or maybe just his father. He travelled for a while before ending up a SINless in Seattle. His skills got the attention of the Reality Hackers gang in Seattle, letting him sneak by in the matrix and fight his way out of - and into - trouble. He is hoping to move up in the world, to become more than just a ganger, and join the ranks of famous Shadowrunners.
