Summary

A kid from the PCC with four cyberlimbs and some physad mojo. He uses spears, axes, knives and probably grenades to win.

Background

Jin was born in the Ute Nation a few short years before the crash to a Japanese mother and a Comanche father. They were good parents and despite the struggles of their country he came up in a happy home. When the crash happened, he wasn't even four; life went on. The wireless matrix seemed like an after thought to someone so young. Eventually the Ute Nation was absorbed into the PCC and while many disliked the change, his father bought in and built up his business.

In 2070 everything changed. Jin was injured in a car accident. Crushed limbs, pinched nerves and pain make him unable to walk and he spends the next few years in bed while his parents search for a way to help. After a lot of tough conversations, his father sold 100 shares of preferred PCC shares and Jin wass fitted with new limbs and a few surgeries repaired the sciatic and other nerves. Meanwhile the Provisional shares matured into Residential shares and they found themselves able bodied and citizens of the PCC.

Jin had decided to honor his father's sacrifices and observe the Comanche coming of age rite - a vision quest. By this time he was 14 and the only one of his peers fitted with cyberlimbs and high quality cyberlimbs at that. He left for the four day ordeal with the customary buffalo robe, bone pipe, tobacco and supplies to make a fire. When he returned he had lost the pipe and the tobacco and a pound or two, but he came back awakened. A mentor had appeared to him and joined him - cat. Not a highly revered mentor usually, but it was his.

As his abilities developed his father blamed himself for damaging Jin's potential. He turned to drinking, drugs and pleasurable company. Obviously this was not ideal and drove his parents apart with his mom eventually leaving and taking up her own vices. Still Jin was spirited and loved both of his parents. However when he tried to join a special forces group in the PCC military, he was turned away - both his parents were on destructive paths and this violated the code that the group lived by. It was enough to turn him momentarily against his father, to leave the man who sacrificed so much for him face down in an alley.

Jin escaped to Seattle, leaving his old life behind. His first stop happened to be KungBao '76 where Huan-Shi Bai mistook him for a runner. After some back and forth it came out that he wasn't, but she was able to put him in touch with somebody who could get him started down that path. Though she didn't exactly recommend it.

Narrative Significant Qualities

• Ware Fiend (Biocompatibility(Cyber), Redliner, Cybersnob) - Implanted young, his father spared no expense. The 'ware is part of him, he wouldn't change that and he loves pushing it to the limit.

• Cat Mentor (Mentor Spirit: Cat, Mentor's Mask, PSC, Lack of Focus) - Along with having the cat mentor and mask, he also enjoys some cat like behaviors such as lounging in the sun, playing with random small objects or prey, or setting small playful ambushes. He's also prone to some not so fun cat like behaviors such as minor lashing out and sudden disinterest in topics at hand. He also likes to be clean.

• A Life Before All This (Nation SINner: PCC, Big Regret) - He grew up in the Ute Nation and PCC. His parents still live there and there's a lot to deal with there. He's particularly anxious about how he left things, feeling like he walked out on his parents after they sacrificed so much for him.
