Background

"Lucky Lee" has a long (fabricated) history in the shadows of Hong Kong, he only survived by the skin of his teeth and his fabulous Mars branded equipment. After barely escaping with his life after daring a raid on Wuxing HQ, he has made his way into the Seattle shadows, where he will gather resources to reclaim his once great life in Hong Kong.

In reality, Ren was given every opportunity to succeed in life. his father's father was a member of the party, putting his family in a position that allowed them to purchase large sums of formerly Chinese corporations. Given his father's importance in the corporation, he was largely raised by security personell. There he picked up a trick or two, like how to hold a weapon, how to sneak off from his classes and guards.

His adventures as a youth took him to the interior of the Walled City, where he slowly grew a rapport. Slowly but surely his gift become more apparent, the lines between street magics he picked up from his compatriots and the corporate education he was provided began to blur, there was no longer one truth, nor a hodge podge of traditions. There was a blend of feng shui and street magics, taking the most potent portions of each school of thought.

Along the way he'd met a woman of the lowest class. In the last few days of his tenure in Hong Kong his escort managed to find him romanticly entangled with her. This was the final straw, his father could only be distracted for so long before he became furious with his son. He wasn't going to kill him, but Ren was all but disowned. Xiuying the elder sent him away to do something stupid to get him killed.

The consequences of his actions have now become very clear, Ren seeks to fulfill his small role in the sales of Mars brand products to the best of his abilities, this was the only way he had left to gain the approval of his father and advance in Mars Macrotechnology, a Wuxing subsidiary. Or so he hoped.
