Background
Maraṇa was born in the slums of Calcutta as Karur Henith Mokshita Kshatriyas two a very religious pair of parents. She was also born blind. She grew up studying Buddhism, but her parents died when she was only 11. A few years after her parents' death, she was found dirty, begging, and grieving. She, even at the young age of 14, had given in to drugs to cope and found any way to make enough money to get food and more drugs. During a session of begging in the hot sun, a wandering monk saw her and pitied her. He offered to improve her life, but she must have the will to live. She, at the edge of her ability to cope, accepted. She was taken north to a temple in Nepal, where she trained her body and mind. She awakened, which would seem late to her peers but it's very possible her weak body and drug-riddled mind simply couldn't connect to her spiritual powers. She trained her mind further and and honed her body's natural abilities. By the age of 20 she started her pilgrimage. To some interest, and many's dismay, her pilgrimage was not to find peace but rather to indulge and debase her soul so that her future incarnations may live lives without temptation.
