Summary

The Seattle Animal-Metahuman Alliance (otherwise known as SAMA) is an organization dedicated to animal rights, as well as the rights of animal-adjacent sapient beings (such as Shifters or Awakened Beasts). Although they're listed as an official charity, they're more notable as a call-to-action political group; they utilize Matrix journalism and public outcry to reveal acts of animal cruelty that their more *extreme* members take care of. SAMA has a presence on every popular social media platform, namely to advertise their website that acts as a "hub" for all journalism and events that take place.

Goals

Protect animals from unjust harm.

SAMA's main priority lays in the disestablishment of animal cruelty. Poaching endangered species, exotic animal trafficking, and other explicit forms of animal abuse are often publicized and subsequently punished by any means necessary. The primary target of SAMA are caged zoos and animal fighting rings. Any place that utilizes entertainment through the exploitation of animals often get the highest punishment.

The natural world must be preserved.

Environmental activism is a strong moral amongst SAMA members as a natural result of their inclination towards animals. They're against any major acts of environmental destruction such as deforestation, factory farming and pollution, and prefer ways for society to cohabit nature. This being said, they are not a "vegan" organization by any means; many members are carnivores themselves, and consider eating meat to be ideal when it can be done so ethically. This makes hunting a common activity for members.

Humanity falls beyond metahumans. All that's sapient deserve rights.

Another major aspect of SAMA is the heavy presence of non-metahuman sapient beings. A majority of them are shifters as stated before, though there are other members that still attach themselves to non-metahuman rights. They believe that metahumans and non-metahumans can unite to defeat the evils that lurk the both of them. Due to this goal of inclusivity, many species can often conflict with one another due to their natural diet: a Rabbit Awakened would be afraid of a Wolf Awakened, as an example. In order for them to retain peace between each other, they've vowed to never eat another sapient animal.

The primary location for a majority of SAMA's activities lies in the HQ within Downtown Seattle.

Current Status

Not many people are aware of SAMA yet, aside from the niche circle of animal activism that they set themselves in. They hope to change that, especially in Seattle.

Health Summary

SAMA has just as an organization recently, and as such has not been growing fast enough to be considered invigorated.
