Summary

The team heads over to Newcastle England on Warboss's orders and liberates an awakened vehicle and sets them loose on the seven seas.

Background

Warboss has tracked down an opportunity to acquire some anthracite coal reagents for the Ghost Vehicle Spirits.

The Meet

Mnemosyne receives a call while he's having dinner with their husband. Inle Beoulve mentions that they saw a job posted in a matrix chatroom, and they'd like to send him to investigate. Chameleon is showering in the afternoon after their dancing lesson with their sensei when they receive a call from Warboss who tells them that they've gotten a lead on those ghost spirits that they were interested in establishing connections with. He receives a location of a bar in the Ork Underground where he is told that he owes Warboss a drink. A call comes in from Carleton for Trades while she's on her boat in the bay. He tells her that something has come up regarding the vehicles spirits that they'd like some materials, and Trades asks for a loan of a few skillsofts.

At the meet, Warboss informs the team that they've got a lead on some anthracite coal in Newcastle. They mention that the area is a messed up toxic zone and that the team should bring protective gear. Trades asks about bringing her truck over, and Warboss mentions that the cargo plane will be able to bring it over as well. Warboss offers that they can get gear rates on ware, ammo, and weapons.

The Plan

The team puts together some disguises before Chameleon calls Naomi to cancel his date. The team picks up some air tanks and loads the armadillo onto the plane and heads over. During the flight over, Trades does some searching about potential locations where the team might find the coal. Anthracite coal wasn't mined at Newcastle, but they're likely to have stored Anthracite coal in the shipyards. The team decides to investigate possible sources for information and eventually settle on awakening the spirit of the Turbinia to ask them about the location of any anthracite coal stockpiles. The team decides to steal a big rig truck to steal the Turbinia from the museum.

Mnemosyne will use their magic in order to coerce the person at the truck rental place to give the truck to us for free. Trades and Mnemosyne will board the truck and start driving to the museum. Meanwhile, Chameleon will be planting the bombs at the museum and boarding the ship to get ready for pick up. Chameleon will blow the bloody doors off, and then Trades and Mnemosyne will drive the truck in. They'll maneuver it under the Turbinia, and then drive away with the boat. Once the team is underway, Mnemosyne and Trades will board the ship. Mnemosyne will start awakening the boat while the team crashes the truck into the river. With the freshly liberated boat, the team will sneak away into the polluted mists while they ask about a hidden stockpile of anthracite coal.

The Run

Mnemosyne flirts with and mind controls the receptionist at the truck rental and hands off the paperwork to Trades. Trades and Mnemosyne board the truck and drive towards the museum to meet Chameleon. Chameleon detonates the foam explosives he planted, and Trades manages to get the truck into position, and the rest of the team takes out the supports and they clamber onto the boat. They manage to shake any tails and they run the truck into the river. As they arrive in the water, Mnemosyne awakens the Turbinia and asks for transport away from Newcastle and the location of a stockpile of anthracite coal reagents.

Chameleon kicks down the door and snatches the reagents.

Aftermath

The Turbinia has been awoken
A stockpile of Anthracite coal reagents was acquired for the vehicle spirits.

Trades

I loved getting into contact with a new vehicle spirit! Awakening it and setting it free was a fantastic feeling. Even if Mnemosynes flirting with that clerk was a bit awkward to watch. Chameleon really came through with getting the explosives planted for us.

Chameleon Watching a vehicle spirit awaken on the astral may be the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Turbinia is a sleek lady of the sea. All in all one helluva run. Having a matrix magician like Trades along makes life SO much easier. Mnemosyne really killed it summoning Turbinia. I finally figured out why he was so secretive about his background and everything - he's a straight guy passing as gay. I really fell for it too, till I heard him seduce a clerk so we could steal a truck. Not sure why, but his secret is safe with me.
