Description
Nondescript asian man in his early 30s. Hair is kept slick, black, clean, and combed back. Sports a clean, well-trimmed beard.
His gait and form exude confidence and his mannerisms remain professional. His speech has slight inflections and hints of mandarin and japanese accents, while his word choice and vocabulary implies he's specific and deliberate, erudite and occasionally splotches his statements with jargons - quite common for those with a college education.
His personality tends to be that of a professional. Either Corporate or Political between his multidisciplined, multilingual, multicultural grasp. He prefers to remain impartial and distant with his colleagues and peers, while still honoring standard professional courtesies. Outside of a professional environment, he is a laid-back individual with very little care for others and enjoys basic vices like alcohol and cigars. He can be expected to maintain friendly relationships, but can't be expected to go beyond forming stronger bonds than that, either due to an emotional aversion to relationships or occupational paranoia.

Background
Former Triad and Yakuza mediator, Danny Shen's job is to keep both gangs from going into all-out war and to lay out and grease the details during business deals and political agreements, including intergang, law enforcement and corporate. This job along with his particular set of skills, makes him an instrumental player in gang politics - in other words, a major asset and a prime target from all sides. His handlers consider his work reliable, meticulous and precise.
After a major deal gone wrong (Lone Star busted a Yakuza drug trade in Triad territory, despite prior arrangements by Danny to pay off Lone Star and Triads for safe passage), several members of the Yakuza family want Danny to answer for his failures, Danny Shen's handlers needed to keep the heat down low, and that meant keeping Danny out of the radar until the coast is clear. With his intergang contacts severed indefinitely, and his old bank accounts and former residence being monitored, Danny decides to start a new life using his talents as a mediator to pay off the bills and the bounty placed on his head. Buying a fake SIN and adopting the alias 'Traveller' an old nickname he got back in Hong Kong, Danny becomes a shadowrunner for those who can afford his services.
The only few people who know Danny's old life are Liang Wang a Triad enforcer who is Danny's liaison to his Triad handlers, as well as Da Xia Wu, a Triad boss heiress who is welll acquainted with Shen in both business and in her long list of flings.
