GM Style

I'm not sure of my GM style yet I've gmed other Games with other settings before and I allways had it like this,

  1. I Want everyone to have fun and try my best that everyone gets their turns to do something
  2. I am open to idea's made by the player (if they are not totally absurd) e.g. If you're in an abandoned fondry and you want to take chain and swing down on an enemy tarzan style to attack then feel free to do so [(maybe I haven't thought of that posibility) this may include a test like gymnastics].
  3. I want stop players from stupid ideas but if you want to solo fight a HTR team with only a butterknife you gotta live with the consequences.
  4. Some other stuff I just can't think of yet

  • Are you okay with players applying to jobs their character has a high chance of declining at the meet? No, I would like that players who apply to a job would do the job, however it always can happen that there some comunication issues or whatever that lead to a player not taking the job.
  • Are you okay with players applying to jobs their character will actively attempt to thwart or derail? No I would absolutely dislike it because it would destroy my work and even more ruin it for the other players who were anticipating the run
  • Views on realism and seriousness of the setting: I value realism as much as I value roleplay at my table (a lot), also do like the creativity that a lot of players have. As long as it's not "Hanebüchen" completly out of mind I'm mostly fine with it
  • Views on consequences and failure: Shadowrun is a cruel distopian world and if you have to butterknife fight HTR you gotta have to live with the consequences. For Failure it depends on what failed was it the players logic, a bad diceroll that derailed the player to some degree or what ever. I will try to make befitting consequences out of this as well(this doesn't have to be negative).

Furthermore I'm somewhat shy and anxious it doesn't alwyas show but if people talk to much to loud I tend to quiet down (some of you may have noticed from me playing), this isn'z ideal for a gm but it's not that big of a problem either.

I would like that people have a good mic etiquette (really everyone on the haven has it as far as I know) just a reminder :)

This may extend over time but like I said I'm not very familiar with GMing yet.
