Subject Heading: Commlink Data Extraction
BBS Post: On behalf of a client, I am looking to put together a team for what should be a relatively straightforward task. My client believes that her spouse, a newly minted rookie Lone Star patrolman, is cheating on her. Your task is to hack the commlink, get his contact files, and get out without firing a bullet or getting nabbed by LS. Pay is in C-Bucks which I will convert to NY as needed. This job needs people who can be clever, quiet, or talk their way out of things. If your idea of fun is a shootout with Lone Star, keep scrolling.
Mr. Johnson
Background
The Johnson asked to meet with the runners in a matrix club known a "Thin ICE", and explained that his client wished to have them find any evidence on her husband's infedelity. The target is a newly minted Lone Star patrolman named Eric Gonzalez whose MeFeed seems to show that he's been spending a large amount of time with his Lone Star Partner, a more experienced patrol office named Jessica Elsner.
The Meet
The meet went off without any complications. The conversation from Confederate Dollars to Nuyen was not in the runners favor and so they were able to get the Johnson to double the price. In return, they agreed to the job, got the target's photo and address, as well as arrangements for a flight into Orlando from SEATAC to Orlando International Airport. The group decides to trust in the Technomancers to help them clear Customs going into the CAS.
The Plan
The group plans to get through CAS customs via Technomancer shenanigans in order to fool the Cyberware and MAD Scanners, . Due to Digifex's technomancery know-how, the team passed through Customs without incident. One technomancer nosebleed later, the team hit Orlando.
Once through the Wall of Humidity that is leaving OIA, and acquiring a rental van, the team was off. Knack began by summoning a spirit in order to do a Search for Eric. The spirit comes back revealing that Eric is currently on duty in Downtown Orlando and they begin their plan to hack the commlink in order to search for evidence.
The Run
The group finds Eric Gonzalez in Downtown Orlando on duty on Church Street with Glitch, Knack, and Sybil (accompanying in the Astral). Digifex manages to hack the poor guy's Renraku commlink in order to steal the paydata - deleted text conversations with his partner, Jessica, that are entirely too suggestive as well as an archive of explicit photos.
