Summary

The team heads to Germany in order to blackmail a MET 2000 quartermaster into supplying weapons to a vineyard owning professor. Working with one of the Johnson's contacts, they seduce and blackmail the major before intercepting a team of assassins that were sent to kill him.

Background

Professor Buhl's weapons supply chain has suffered a disruption after the prior Met 2000 quartermaster was replaced, so he's contacted some shadowrunners to plant some blackmail and make the replacement more amenable to supplying him.

The Meet

Blackhawk is the first to arrive at Cherry's Shakes followed by Trades and Stryker. Once there, the professor offers the team some food and gets down to business. Prof. Dr. Franz Andreas Buhl would like the team to break into Major Wolfgang ‎Müller's residence and plant some evidence, steal some gear and blackmail him into selling weapons to the professor like his predecessor. The professor offers to pay for one of his contacts, Miss Amanda Jones, to assist them as well as offering transport and room & board during their stay.

The Plan

During the flight to Ramstein-Miesenbach Trades performs a few matrix searches in order to acquire some background information for the team. Once they arrive, the team heads to the Hotel Pirsch and begins conspiring. Trades does some scanning while Blackhawk breaks into the Major's house. He disables a security alarm on the window, and heads down into the basement. Trades does another search on the Big Nugget Casino and the Red Dragon Triad and discovers that they've brought in a team of Sze Kau "Specialists" who will strike in 9 days. That night, Blackhawk plants the blackmail, and the team sleeps and they call Amanda Jones the next morning to determine how they're going to be blackmailing the major. Using the evidence of his gambling debts to the Red Dragon Triads as well as the falsified transaction history that Blackhawk planted, they'll apply pressure before revealing that they're willing to protect him from the Sze Kau hit team. Trades meets Amanda Jones at the casino later that night to enact their blackmail while Stryker and Blackhawk cooperate to investigate the Sze Kau specialists. Amanda Jones and Trades successfully seduce and blackmail the major while Stryker calls one of their contacts who helps them discover when and where the Sze Kau hit team will be arriving.

The Run

On Sunday, with the information from Stryker's contact, The team splits up to watch the domestic and international terminals for the enemy assasins. Stryker and Trades don't spot anything while they're waiting, but Blackhawk detects the enemies at the international terminal. Trades hacks their car and squelches their commlinks and starts driving them out to the country to kill them. Part way through the trip, the assassins disable their vehicle and start summoning spirits. Stryker tosses a gas grenade of neurostun under the car while the spirits and combatants exchange attacks. The neurostun takes effect and the assassins quickly fall unconscious and the spirits return to their homes. Blackhawk executes them and the team cleans up the crime scene.

Aftermath

Professor Buhl manages to secure Major Mueller as a supplier of weapons and resolves the supply chain disruption.

Stryker

First time going overseas for a job. Strangely straight forward for what it was. Poor Trades had to butter up that degenerate Müller, but she did her work with due dilligence. Blackhawk lives up to what I've heard of him, didn't knew Vampires could walk during the day but it was nice to work with him, very competent and professional. Work overall was time consuming, but rewarding at the end due to Trade's excellent work.

Trades

That was an experience. I'm really glad that Amanda took the lead on the seduction since I really don't think that I'd have been able to do it on my own. This is the first time I've done something like that on a job, and I'm not really sure how I should feel about it. I don't think that I'd be opposed to doing something like that again, but I want to talk to some of the people I know in Seattle to try and work through this. Blackhawk seemed awfully brusque, but he wasn't too bad. I got to work with Stryker again, and he seems like he is doing alright after our extraction mission.
