Overview

Iyaki (Ee-yah'-kai) appears to be an oni that's taken some ork reduction, she has black hair and red skin. She has a light devil motif and aesthetic, but overall seems to be amiable at the worst of times. She wears light clothing and perpetually seems to float lightly off the ground. Iyaki is a (now) free spirit of Annette's late mother, who is absolutely fascinated with Annette due to her unique nature. She spends most of her time loitering around with loose ambitions of trying to rekindle her love for magic, although she finds that it is more dangerous than anything else, and tries to limit the influence that her magic has. Her motivations lie in trying to entertain herself endlessly, and finding and destroying anything that has to do with Great Old Ones.

GM Notes

- Long story short, Iyaki is a powerful spirit that has come to hate magic like a Pariah. She pities those who are "burdened" with a "curse" such as that.

- Iyaki counts as an adversary spirit, and all of her magic identifies as such.

- Iyaki is intended to be a trickster spirit that interacts with Annette as an unwanted ally spirit. Because Iyaki can't be tamed by normal mages, she primarily uses her position alongside Annette to ensure that she doesn't stray from the Pariah Tradition. Having raised her to become something of a perfect spell defense to protect Annette and herself... and an endless source of entertainment.

- Iyaki is an even tempered woman who's personality can only be described as indifferent. She enjoys watching people fumble around by the tricks she plays, and deeply enjoys masquerading around as a person.

- Iyaki deeply despises the abuse of magic by others, and actively seeks to neutralize anyone who does these things. If this is something you would like to include, have Iyaki start asking other party members if they'd like to make a deal for a chip from her. She tries not to use her magical abilities, but will if necessary.

- She supposedly has been reincarnated as a free spirit, but won't talk about her past life. Though she shows a deep hatred for eldritch influences (great old ones, planar mages, etc.)

- Iyaki will simply leave if threatened, and Annette is obligated to offer any support she can offer.

- She only offers help in the form of favors and deals due to how her chips can be repaid.

Old Habits	Iyaki has a +2 on all active checks dealing with counterspelling, disenchanting, and banishing.
Playful, Not Mean	Iyaki will never intentionally cause life threatening glitches to anyone with a loyalty of 3 or higher. If she does accidentally, she will attempt to remedy this for free, and will owe a chip to the person.
Human Form	Iyaki can use the human form spirit power.
Dispelling	Iyaki can use the dispelling spirit power.
Powerful Spirit	Iyaki is a powerful spirit, although she avoids direct combat on the behalf of anyone who has a loyalty of 3 or less.
Sorcery	Iyaki can use the sorcery spirit power, and can cast the following spells: Mana Bolt, Magic Fingers, Levitate, Armor, Chaos World, Mana Barrier, Silence, and Improved Invisibility
Obsessed With You	Iyaki will follow around Annette regardless of her loyalty to her, her obsession with Annette comes from the fact she was Annette's mother's ally spirit before she passed, and while she is scorned lightly now due to her nature as a magical being, they remain close. She will attempt to intervene if Annette's like would end, but Iyaki's loyalty will decrease by 1 each time this happens, and this loyalty cannot be bought back until after the next run.
