Background

Born a literal son of a whore in the 40's, Yasha Saito was an accident. He was allowed to keep his mother's last name, but was given the name Yasha by the owner of the Vladivostok whorehouse he lived in for the first 12 years of his life. While at first he was treated like a waste of space, the kid quickly grew into a useful gopher - and skillful pickpocket. The lideri who ran the building grew fond of his antics, offering him a 'proper' education in the way of the Vory v Zakone.

Within years he'd be taught how to use just about everything he could get his hands on as a weapon. His magic would bloom with puberty, accelerating his violent nurture into something refined.

By 22 he was a bojevik for the Vladivostok Vory, working as muscle across the city. The attempt at converting him to something blindly loyal backfired, his mind merely taking it all in stride. It was through these attempts he would start seeing everyone lesser than him - lesser than the Vory - as meat. Enraptured by his strength and by role in the organization, he'd find himself lost in hedonistic fugues - only broken by calls from work to dispatch extreme amounts of violence or threats.

Eventually, his tsar - not the Red Queen herself - would grow tired of Yasha's shit, and have him shipped off to Seattle, where he would start working alongside Djinn as his local man.

But Yasha wasn't a member of the Seattle Reds! He was Vladivostok Vory! Surely, this is all a ploy to expand the Queen's territory. I mean, truly. Seattle is just really far east, right?

Narrative Significant Qualities

• Made Man - Yasha is a member of the Vladivostok Vory, sent to Seattle to expand territory. Not for the reds, but for Vladivostok. He'll use what assets he can.

• SURGEd - Going fast and getting a little into things is just a bonus in this line of work.

Samael - kinda. They're drinking buddies and coworkers, despite professional differences. Nico appreciates him, though. Which is more than can be said for most men he meets. They met in France circa 2082, where Nico was expunging some White Vory assets that had been poking their nose in Vladivostok.
