Summary

Background

Bixom Pharma has created Batch 49: A tailored pheromonal batch that Evo is interested in acquiring it and all the info on the servers. Restricted access in main building in Everett. They are Shiawase subsidiary and do have extraterritoriality. No viable extraction targets, watchers, good astral security and multiple emerged individuals living on site.

The Meet

The meet goes relatively well, the team managing an etiquette roll and minimal disasters with Irena Tachikov, and has a lovely dinner at Tacoma Purple Haze. Some side eye being thrown at the maid uniforms but minimal and the group sits down to a nice dinner, and does manage to get a bonus structure added to the run under the condition of no double dipping/double crossing, and offers access to a betaware clinic. Given a 72 hour window to reach out to the client with an update.

The Plan

Preliminary matrix research indicates of Imperial Kami services and Shiawase security services, they are heavily involved in Cyborg manufacture and Technomancers studies. Rating 6 Host closed to the public with a standard security array.

In Fairmont (not a super secure area) near the Federated Boeing fields. Some of the employees are probably stealing and reselling precursors. Neighborhood go gangs focused on the highway and smaller local neighborhood gangs. Possibly low key Yakuza affiliations. Some bio-awakened compound research. Nearby prison, bad neighborhood, Federated Boing shady and general vibes give it a 2-3 background count.

Scanning and rigging an RFID with a bug scanner from a workaholic employee to get in and rob the place seems to be the starting point, then it looks like a straight up infiltration and robbery.

The team kidnapped an over

Get into the building, puncture a chemical vat to trigger emergency responders via CC. When security scrambles, the team steals the target and rolls out.

The infiltration plan is to Disguise in Alkali to find CC's target point, and to let the doc in after CC has shot a gas tank to secure the scramble.

The Run

Legwork begins with a matrix search, and then physical infiltration heading over to Fairmont and parking 200 meters from the building to watch it with binoculars. Matrix searches giving them an idea of the floor they are looking for.

Alkali heads over in astral form, Poe in Raven form with his spirit pal in a raven to scope the astral security. Watchers, a F6 and F8 ward as well as an on site bound spirit, and pairs of watcher spirits. F8 over the extraterritorial floors.

The Doc begins matrix perception and search, sliding into their nested host full of geometric looking architecture and finds several sprite notes on bugs in code that need fixes. The nest is Shiawase employee only. With a little focus the Doc slides in, surrounded by nucleotide looking IC and a spider technomancer, sneaks on by and quickly determines the data for Lot 49 is stored in Lab 8C. Most physical lab controls are handled off a central physical access terminal with an RFID system that opens doors around the building. The host receives info from the research equipment but the doors to individual labs were limited to someone with the RFID credentials.

Alkali gets disguised while CC gets into Position. Poe stays mobile outside the building maintaining silence and invisibility spells on the team, preventing him from making any Raven based mistakes. Doc Vega stays hidden nearby prepped to sneak in when the distraction hits. An invisible and silenced CC cleaner makes the shot to mix up to volatile gasses and create a massive security situation for the team.

Boombox makes it in to start messing with the appropriate panels to get them unlocked and routed where they need to go and expose a wire and get in to steal a vial of the compound, as Vega starts hacking to get the file info from the terminal and lab stations.

Doc Vegas takes a massive data bomb to the grill in the process of grabbing the file actions and falls offline, Poe heads across town to revive Vega and check on the prisoner. Everyone ultimately decides not to sell the researcher and drops her off at her apartment.

Aftermath

The Client does take the drugs with an understanding of what happened with the data. Poe gets a chip for some extra stolen drugs. Docteur Vega lives but in bad shape (probably scorched) after the data bomb nearly killed her.
