A third-generation astronaut, Adrien Taylor used to work for Ares Macrotechnology in the 60s as a technician with dreams of becoming a pilot - however, a combination of corporate politics and the restructuring of orbital assets following Crash 2.0 stymied this goal, so he struck out on his own with a crew of "independent operators" in a Starbug-class freighter he christened the 'Firefly'.
