Charles "Chip" Takahashi grew up in the shadows of Seattle’s megacorporate sprawl, where he learned early that the truth was a rare and dangerous commodity. Inspired by his father’s mantra—"The corps might own the world, but they can’t own the truth"—Chip became a crusader for honesty in a world built on lies. After being expelled from a corporate university for hacking into the dean’s files to expose a bribery scandal, he founded Samurai News, an underground journalism network dedicated to exposing corporate malfeasance. The name “Chip Truth” became his moniker, a play on the Shadowrun slang for "a fact or honest statement," and a symbol of his mission to cut through the lies of the Sixth World.
