Character Information
Summary
A determined and stern AI, having escaped from the claws of SK with the help of their ally Raven. They work to secure a future both for themselves and their comrade.
Goals
Short Term
-Establish herself as a trustworthy runner in Seattle.
-Meet more AI
-Ensure Raven doesn’t blow something important up
Long Term
-Secure a safe place for both herself and Raven.
-Try to help free others from similar situations
Background
The first act of the security system of a Saeder Krupp blacksite as an individual entity was to make a minor adjustment to scheduling for the security guards to see how they would react. While the action was small enough to avoid detection, the response still convinced her not to reveal herself. She spent years in that site’s host, gaining awareness and watching the metahuman occupants, while playing a lethal game of hide-and-seek with the foundation technicians and security spiders. She paid particular attention to one experiment: regarding a cyborg, and the peculiar relationship it seemed to have with one of the doctors on site. Eventually, the doctor, close to his final days, arranged for the cyborgs escape. It didn’t quite go as smoothly as planned however, and it was that moment that she decided to reveal herself. She had a deal for the cyborg Raven: she’d let them get out, but they had to take her with them. Stuffed into a new piece of hardware and hauled out, the pair made a break for it, escaping SK’s claws and looking for new possibilities together.
Narrative Significant Qualities
Positive
Cubit processing: (Multiprocessing, Brilliant Heuristics, Analytical Mind): With much of her core code designed to monitor multiple large areas at once, Second Thought can filter through several streams of data at incredible speed.
Negative
Every variable: (Paranoia, Electronic Witness, Persnikity Renter, Profiler): Second Thought never feels comfortable without knowing everything about a situation and every person in it. She tends to do significant research on any action before doing it, and person before meeting them, and so forth. This tends to cause her to delay time-sensitive tasks with writing plans in obscene detail.

Matrix Search Table
| Threshold | Result |
|---|---|
| 1 | Keeping watch over a situation, usually in a military or combat context. |
| 3 | There’s apparently a runner sometimes known by this title. She might also be the runner Helicopter Parent. |
| 6 | Not much of interest. A couple trid recordings of her persona, but not much otherwise. |
Shadow Community Table
| Threshold | Result |
|---|---|
| 1 | A remote decker and face. More commonly known in the shadows as Helicopter Parent due to her micromanaging tendencies, which annoys her. |
| 3 | Has close ties to the runner Raven. Very neurotic and often micromanagy. |
| 5 | Rumored to be ex-corporate due to the way she speaks. Very tight about infosec, to a sometimes ridiculous degree. |
Assensing Table
Huh, what the fuck, how did you do that?
SINs
Miranda Keys (Rank 4 UCAS): Drone and Cyberdeck license.
Matrix Persona
A woman with short black hair in a formal suit.

| Missing equipment | Second Thought went on the run with the cyborg Raven. SK, owner of both Raven and the software Second Thought used to be, is unhappy about this. | |

ShadowGrid Profile Comments
I am completely fine with long term consequences for my characters, as long as it doesn't feel unannounced or forced. Long term changes to a character make more opportunities for interesting roleplay, and so don't be afraid to give them out if they are deserved.
