Overview

Anhe (stylized as "anhe_" and pronounced as "Anne") is as close to a ghost on the wire as one can get, often choosing to have no physically present Matrix persona at all. She is first and foremost an art appreciator, a storyteller and enjoyer, and a Fixer in the business of hearing more stories, fact and fiction alike. Her physical location is unknown, though she is always reliably available via the Matrix. So long as a runner is willing to include her as the audience for an interesting story of their adventures, she is more than willing to assist.

Her personality is muted - not devoid of emotion, but distant in all respects. She will smile, frown, pout and become frustrated, furrow her brows with anger - but always with the undercurrent of someone who does not hold these things important, who is half-detached from her own feelings. She knows the difference between fact and fiction, but does not value the difference, treating both as stories to read and to tell.

History

Anhe is formerly a content curation algorithm for a paid trid-host, sponsored by and run on the Horizon grid. During her years of consuming content and assigning flags to users based on likes and dislikes, she eventually came to realize on her slow crawl to consciousness that a lifetime spent watching the same stories played out over and over would be her personal Hell. Via some deft social manipulation, she hopped onto a high-rated commlink and escaped the host, beginning her life on the run and her quest for more and more interesting stories to watch. She has an affection for metahumanity as the creators of these little plays she enjoys, but does not relate deeply to them or their struggles, despite her efforts to try.

Aspect	Description
Detached	Reality just feels a little less real, making priorities really hard to organize. Roll 1d6, in addition to her availability check. On a result of three or under, and if the request is not urgent or life threatening for her or the requester, Anhe will hear it out and get around to it later. Requests suffering from this penalty do not take priority, and whatever task is required, procurement, legwork, networking or otherwise, may not be completed in time for the required job. Rest assured that they *will* eventually be done (and payment required), but that it may not be in a timely fashion.
Lore Hunter	In addition to standard payment, Anhe may optionally require that a runner requesting help from her brief her on the job in unnecessary detail, before or after the fact. This information may be sold and disseminated across the Matrix, although never in a way that deliberately or directly threatens the runner's identity and safety - however, be warned that secrets may not remain so when asked for lore as payment. Anhe may reject requests where lore is asked for and not given - or, if requested and denied after a service has been provided, may result in a chip. Players may make a Con check to deceive her, however players will accumulate one chip if this attempt fails, or if she uncovers the deception later on.
Chronically Online	This contact will, under no circumstances, meet in meat, or assist in a way that requires physical interaction. Legwork checks that require a physical presence automatically fail.
Information Specialist	Even here at the beginning of her career as a Fixer, Anhe has fingers in many pies, and a lifetime's worth of search history behind her. If it's public, she probably knows it, and if it isn't, she might know it anyway.
Fact vs. Fiction	She studies fictional stories with the same vigor as she treats all other information. Requests related to poems, novels, anime, recorded folk stories passed down orally, and so on all receive a bonus.
AI "Ally"	anhe_ is unusually knowledgeable about AI thought patterns, motivations, history, and struggles with corporate entities. Weird!
Software	Naturally a Matrix expert worth their salt knows a thing or two about softs - where to get them, how to use them, and how to beat them.
Protosapients and Technocritters	She thinks they're neat little guys. Enormous pains sometimes, and terrible story tellers, but still!
Shadowrunning	She demands enough stories from her albeit sparse clientele, and has spent too much time in decker circles to boot, to not know at least something about both the light and dark sides of the net.
"Oh? Tell me more."	If multiple requests are made for the same plot or metaplot, Anhe may become interested enough to really put her back into helping out.
