Summary
The runners are called to the Redmond Barrens, to a spot in Touristville, to make a quick buck enforcing the RESPECT Anthony Pike and his gang of highly motivated go-getters with ownership mentalities making 80k a day setting their hours DESERVE.
They decided that breaking they J's face in would be way, way more satisfying.
Background
URBAN APEX Experiental Labs was filming marketing material on-site in the Redmond Barrens, showcasing their authentic services allowing high-value clients to experience immersive, unsimulated tactical scenarios with genuine Redmond locals in high-octane environments.
Which is a fancy way of saying recording videos of themselves murdering SINless people to put on P2.0.
Not knowing about the current gang war situation, they were targeted by a drive-by from some Halloweeners. This ruined their shoot. Not willing to take this lying down, they put out a job.
The Meet
The runners show up. Crypt Keeper and Renato arrive first and begin talking to the J, Anthony Pike.
About the time the rest of the group is pulling up, the J is explaining his business. And Renato, seeing red, starts swinging.
The Plan
There was no plan.
The Run
The runners get involved in a firefight with the well-armed group of rich assholes. Colcannon manages to catch a few bullets from automatic fire, but the runners thoroughly clobber the lot of them. One bright young stakeholder has his skull thoroughly synergized with the pavement via a high-impact disruption from Renato's boot. Anthony's neurological ecosystem embarks on a transformative journey following radical alignment with a round of .45 ACP.
The rest, realizing that they are not prepared for such a high-stakes competitive environment, make a strategic withdrawal. #HighPerformance #StrategicExit #RiskMitigation #Agility #Adaptability
Aftermath
With the Founder dead, URBAN APEX's remaining stakeholders spend some time reorienting their strategic outlook to better capture volatile opportunities while minimizing risk exposure.
