Summary
- A well planned, well legworked, clean run wherein the runners commit some literal highway robbery.
Background
The Emerald City Clash continues!
The Meet
The team meets outside an Ancients hangout in Tarislar at what amounts of a paramilitary base in order to meet the J, who turns out to be Belial, the Leader of the Ancients.
The job is to intercept a shipment on a semi truck coming into Auburn from the SSC. Ideally, steal the shipment, if not just stop it. Ultimately, Belial wants to know what's in the shipment. Mainly, he just doesn't want the Cutters to have it.
The Plan
- Locate the carvan in the SSC
- Set IEDs to break up the convoy
- Kill the guards
- Have a spirit possess the driver to steal the semi truck
- Figure out what is being smuggled
- ???
- Profit
The Run
- Info Gathering: The team does some matrix searches and Ribbon makes some contact calls in order to find out there is a small convoy coming - a semi truck with cutter APCs and 'hardened' vehicles.
- Big wooden crates - no idea what's in them.
- The convoy is coming along Interstate 410 along the south of the SSC into Auburn.
- The team learns it is probably industrial equipment, which they assume to be meant for the Cutters to get a logistical benefit by making their own gear
- The Run:
- Sneaking into the SSC:
- Zero sneaks in on her own, while the rest of the team moves through smuggling routes
- Finding the Convoy
- Poe uses his bird spirits to find the convoy, while Zero preps the ambush by preparing IEDs in the way
- The Interception
- The plan goes more or less to suit - the IEDs take out the two escort cars with relatively little issue.
- The team was not aware of the four ... ganger... HTR... people in the back of the truck and a protracted firefight breaks out.
- Between Samael's tankiness, Zero's applied tactics of KRIME STINGERS, Ribbon's gunnery skills, and Poe being a Ninja-Mysad-Catboy, two of the HTR are dropped in the fight, and the remaining two as they run, leaving no witnesses.
- Sneaking into the SSC:
Aftermath
- The team makes the crossing back into Seattle, delivering the truck and its industrial goods, guns, and equipment to Belial. The Ancients leader is pleased to not only get the truck, the intel, and the hardware but that also there were no loose ends left handing.

Samael - These gangers didn't fight like gangers. They fought like a trained HTR team, which is... passing strange. Advanced cyberware, full kit armor, and tactics which would've likely been my end if I were not as kitted out myself. It is... passing strange. Are the gangers going corporate, or are the corps funding and supporting this little gang war?
