She watched a lot of old westerns, and before long, managed to get her hands on an old school sixgun. Which, of course, she immediately started practicing with, and soon found that she was a pretty good shot. Unfortunately, she often got so deeply focused on improving that she missed the Mana Storm that was heading for the area, and wound up catching the brunt of it as she tried, too late, to run back home. Somehow, she survived SURGEing, but her parents treated her as a freak, and soon, she left home and went on the road, entering whatever quickdraw competitions she could find. Eventually, she wound up in Seattle, where her skill with a pistol caught the attention of a Fixer who thought she could find a use for the SURGE. Background
