Summary
A group of runners hired by a financially unstable man are tasked to set his brother free from an unknown Cutter's house in Puyallup. And while their tactics are... interesting. They manage to get the job done in the end with threats of bombs and Drakes... oh my.
Background
A downtrodden man named Damien and his brother had found a seemingly abandoned house in the northern portion of Puyallup. Hoping to make a sort of home or small shelter for at least a little while. But little did they know Kevin Crimes had lay claim to said building in an attempt to expand the Cutter's influence in Puyallup. While Damien was able to escape his brother was captured with a ransom of 26k nuyen on his head to be released. Now desperate, Damien searched the shadow's for runners willing to help him save his brother.
The Meet
Meeting in a relatively low-key hole in the wall establishment in Puyallup, the group of runners were informed of the job in question. With varying levels of excitement. The payment being nuyen in a safe, a total of 18k being available in the safe. But noticing the man's position most of the runners agreed to do it for favors or a simple food gathering. Except for Reed. Reed wanted the nuyen. Damien then handed over a credstick with 10k nuyen on it. Stating it was all he could muster up to give to the Cutter's. Hoping the runner's can negotiate a better deal with the 10k to let him out. With the credstick in hand the runners set off to free Damien's brother.
The Plan
So, after consulting amongst themselves for a short while the plan was... something to say the least. With Stacy's knowledge of Seattle and gangs as a whole, she was aware of how Puyallup was mainly territory of the Yakuza and that Yakuza tend to be very aggressive when someone steps on their turf. So, the plan was simple. Ashford and Triage would summon a spirit to make Reed nigh-invisible to plant fake bombs around the house. Then Stacy would head in and state the Yakuza were unhappy with them and that they had a short time to vacate and leave the hostage otherwise they'd be dead. After a couple calls Stacy had acquired a Yamaha Kaburaya to play the part of seeming like a Yakuza messenger. While that was happening Triage and Ashford managed to summon a strong spirit of man to disguise Reed. With all the pieces in place the runners began their move.
The Run
A quick investigation revealed 3 cutter's members grilling what seemed to be soy-meat outside a building with a force 6 guardian spirit inside its walls. Reed still managing to despite this to plant the fake bombs successfully around the house. AKA an assortment of small bags with rocks and sand inside made to look like concealed C-4. After the "bombs" were in place Stacy pulled up and demanded to speak with the man in charge. After some small bickering she was led to the man himself, Kevin Crimes who spun around in his chair to face Stacy. Stacy then made her request/threat clear. That should Kevin and his group not leave soon that them and everyone in this building would blow up. Immediately following this Reed made themselves known and that they were a Drake... just... just like that. Stacy then stating she was a Drake as well. The two would shift and the bombs would do little to harm them while they would all die. Believing their words with little hesitation Kevin Crimes and his group fled the scene aboard his bus not too far away. Without needing to spend a single nuyen the job was done and now all they needed was to rescue Damien's brother.
Aftermath
Heading up the old and creaky stairs our runners managed to find Damien's brother behind a locked door Triage's spirit made short work of. The man himself badly bruised and injured. Tortured extensively with several broken bones and cuts. Stacy immediately opting out and leaving it to the other runners to patch him up. After being free and patched up he gridlink'd a car with a classic iron safe in the trunk with with credsticks. All of the runners rejecting the offer pardon Reed who took a cut of 4k from the safe. Not too long after Damien rejoined and was impressed by their work and that they didn't even need to use his 10k nuyen. But shortly after Reed asked for more nuyen and with help from Stacy she got it. An extra 6k in her pocket. But with all of this out of the way, the runners head their separate ways. Another job well done. With maybe consequences for the future...
