This was a weird job. There wasn't too much information available on the matrix about the bride and groom, but we were able to work out a plan. Working as the escape driver for the team went pretty well. I'm glad that I put chameleon coating on the Armadillo since that feels like it might have been the deciding factor. I'm planning to do some upgrades on my ware with the rewards from the run. I figure that it's probably worth getting some of my second-hand stuff fixed up. Getting rid of my foot feels weird though. I know that to a magical person, everything else I've put into my body has already chipped away at my essence, but replacing a perfectly functional foot just because it's easier to integrate ware into a cyberlimb feels different. | This was a weird job. Background
As an arranged wedding between a Renraku suit and Yakuza higher up was to taken place. One ork man with connections to a friend of the bride wanted the arrangement destroyed for her sake. And in doing so they seek a job to crash the wedding and hopefully put it to an abrupt end.
The Meet
Meeting at a small ramshackle hut in Puyallup the runners were given the basic rundown as to what was going on in the arranged wedding. All the J requested was for the wedding to be taken down. Though no people at the wedding were to be kill, with the stipulation that if any were killed the payment would be forfeit. With some preliminary negotiations out of the way the J agreed he may be able to get some Renraku equipment should the job go well. With this in mind the runners agreed and began getting to work.
The Plan
Finding a nearby abandoned building the runners began thoroughly scavenging the matrix for any details on the bride and groom. The bride being a Japanese born citizen who had a slightly more progressive view point that made her move to the Seattle division of the company. However, as they dug into the husband the story turned far more interesting. Scavenging deep through the matrix the runners were able to piece together that the groom fell on bad times due to a failed operation in the Ork underground where he lost roughly 12 Yakuza lives with only a supposed 2 losses on behalf of the Skraacha that stopped his advance. A devastating loss that cost him his reputation to where he now more served as a freelance mercenary for Yakuza clients. Recently however he seemingly proclaimed himself a member of the Shigeda-Gumi who the runners would find out had long since been decimated and replaced with the far more "traditional" Kanaga-Gumi. So many pieces seemed weird and off.
However, realizing that they knew a Yakuza Clan who may have more information and may be willing to send over aid, the runners contacted the Yoshinaga-Gumi, an up and coming Yakuza clan located in the district of Bellevue whos mission seemed to be dedicated to protecting the people. Sadly unable to provide information the clan was willing to send over aid in the form of Ryuuji to aid the runners in whatever conflict may arise. The runners with their new ally began to plan, editing the footage attained of the Ork Underground massacre and outing him as a fraud. The venue was to be hosted in Everett in a Buddhist temple. Weapons seemingly allowed at the venue with a proper license which was fortunate for the runners. With disguises in hand the runners headed towards the venue to crash this wedding.
The Run
Arriving at the wedding venue, Wayfarer was advised to stay back given the background count and the social awkwardness that may draw attention. Thankfully for the rest of the runners their social attire and mannerisms managed to make them blend in. Granted the non-humans amongst them were looked with confusion and glares but no security seemed to be called on them. Ryuuji and Roc spreading various rumours about the groom that spurred the crowds suspicions. As the ceremony commenced, the runners in broad view of everyone broadcasted the feed of the massacre in the underground, many participants in disgust or uproar at what was being displayed. The groom enraged approached Ryuuji enraged and upon a brief exchange the two exchanged fists starting an all out brawl with the on sight Yakuza security.
With the fight now under way the runners began to take care of the security, Roc and Trades giving moral and matrix support from the sidelines. Wayfarer rejoining as soon as the brawl began. Omen with their blade engaging various adepts that were targeting Ryuuji. GOODLUCK using their shotgun loaded with stick n' shock took out various guards along the western wall. Meanwhile along the right wall Wayfarer began pleading with various guards to surrender and knocking out those that didn't. Ryuuji occasionally taking hits that would have landed upon his allies. The battle waged on with various injuries sustained on both sides but once the security was knocked out and the groom incapacitated the runners booked it for the escape vehicle and thankfully due to their driving prowess they were able to slip past the Renraku reinforcements that now patrolled the area.
Aftermath
Arriving back in Tacoma the J looked pleased with their efforts and relayed information he found on his own. Apparently the groom took a more progressive stance and wanted to bring back the Shigeda-Gumi and their values. However behind the grooms back Renraku and the Kanaga-Gumi planned to betray and assassinate him, using the union to further both of their goals while leaving him in the dust. With this out of the way however the runners received their well earned pay and headed home.

GOODLUCK
