Summary
Wayfarer was called to meet with an unknown individual, later introduced as Ezekyle Burton, to deal with a creature.
Background
A creature known as a Shedim had been haunting the streets of Redmond at night, attacking those who were alone, too weak, and/or otherwise incapable of fighting back.
The Meet
Driving to Redmond through the Ork Underground onto the surface, Wayfarer entered a run down building and into Ezekyle's room. Hearing the situation, he agreed to track the Shedim down and fight it.
The Plan
Stake out the location by hiding on top one of the roofs and watching out for any astral or dual natured entities, and upon locating the threat punch it until it is banished.
The Run
After arriving on scene, Wayfarer noted several areas which he could hide in or on to get a view over the area. He purchased a chameleon suit and, upon waiting for both it and night time to arrive, put it on, using it to climb one of the buildings without being detected. Waiting an hour, he noticed five different beings with an astral presence. None of them appeared to be what he was hunting, however, as he noticed a sixth and final creature that appeared to be dead at first. Most of the other entities seemed to notice as well as they began to flee the area, with only a shaggy dumpster diver and a winged figure remaining. Leaping down from where it was perched, the Shedim attacked the dumpster diver and began to drain its essence.
Leaping into action, Wayfarer jumped from his location as well and charged the Shedim, fending it off of the victim (who promptly began to crawl away in fear) and taking its attention. Mangling the physical corpse it had been possessing, the Shedim then fled into the astral, where the battle continued as it lashed out at Wayfarer, who then soon after managed to land a solid blow and finish it.
Aftermath
After the Shedim was banished, Wayfarer headed back to Ezekyle to notice another being, Pumpkin Jack, conversing with the ghoul. Wayfarer debriefed the two as to the situation, with Pumpkin Jack informing Ezekyle he had done well and they would speak again another time. With Jack departing and the job officially complete, it was time for rewards. Putting gloves on and pulling out a box, Ezekyle reached in and grabbed two spirit tokens, one containing a martial arts technique and the other unknown, with only the knowledge that it came from a spirit known as the "Whirlwind of the Apocalypse." Randomly choosing, Wayfarer picked up the spirit token of the Whirlwind, gaining part of its experiences and memories.
