Summary
Two gangs are at war, and both sides seek to use a group of shadowrunners to cause some major harm to the other.
Background
The Rusted Stilettos and the Red Hot Nukes are in arms against one another. After a failed attack by the Stilettos, they decide to get a small group of runners to get payback for them.
The Meet
Meeting at a local noodle shop in the Redmond area, the runners Gremlin, Getaway, Obsidian, and Roadkill find their Johnson, a Vic, stands to meet and introduce himself. He has a job for the group: Unknown clients with an unknown motive seeking for the shadowrunners to destroy a bar up by Devil's Lake where an enemy gang known as the Red Hot Nukes calls home. Supposedly they are largely out at the time and should be more easily infiltrated. The time limit? Before dawn rises. The clients also left a package for the group... that being a bomb set in a dodge scoot outside. The payment is 28k, with another 2k squeezed out on top of potential services for gear.
With Vic's exit, the group introduces themselves to each other and set to finding a plan.
Racking their brains together, the party is able to understand that the Red Hot Nukes are a dwarf biker gang with a focus on explosive ordnance. Chances are their base would have a stash or two of grenades, bombs, and anything else that goes 'boom.' With the one given to them, they could set it all off and completely total the building. Though... looking at the bomb they find it most dirty indeed, with Obsidian's summoned task spirit finding it to be leaking radiation. Immediately, there is a level of concern and an agreement to not use it. Gremlin places it within a lead-lined compartment in their bike, safely stored (enough).
The Plan
The First Plan
Purchasing a thing of C4, the group will sneak up to the bar, Obsidian sending a task spirit to plant it in a prime location with a small timer. Long enough to allow the team to make their escape. Easy, right?
The Second Plan: This One Comes Up Much Later
Using the C4, the runners will set it to explode when a button is pressed and plant it on the dodge scoot. Getaway, driving it remotely, will send the dodge scoot into the building where Finkler is holed up on the second floor and blow it up, sending said second floor tumbling down on the first. From there, Gremlin and a Roto-drone that Getaway is jacked into will open fire with Stick 'n' Shock, knocking the troll out. After that Roadkill and Obsidian's summoned spirit will plant the bomb onto him, begin recording, and plant the dirty bomb directly onto Finkler. Once set up, they'll begin driving away as the bomb explodes.
The Run
Driving to the RHN's base, Getaway and those within his roadmaster are able to arrive while avoiding any ganger patrols and beneath their notice. Gremlin, however, is not so lucky, and finds herself being followed. Stopping, one of the dwarfs steps up to her bike and asks her what the deal is. She tells them quite frankly she's on shadowrunner business, though not the explicit details. Given her Ancients affiliation, they are not keen to outright cause an issue, though encourage her to follow them to the bar to get things figured out. She obliges.
Sensing the potential to use her as bait, the three in the roadmaster make ready to send their task spirit to plant the C4. But before they can, Obsidian gets a DNI. Someone has located her through the MATRIX. She answers, to which an individual named Axle introduces himself and tells her to head to the bar as well. Not joking around, he sends her the trio's direct coordinates. Obsidian asks for an escort, which Axle agrees to. A few minutes later a group of seven dwarfs ride up to the roadmaster, and as she steps out she casts Mob Mind on the lot of them, though commands them to act as usual and bring her where they're meant to.
Arriving their, Gremlin and Obsidian meet with Axle who informs them in no uncertain terms that the job is "bullshit" as well as the runners' employers and Johnson. He'll pay 40k if, instead, they turn it around on the Rusted Stilettos - the original clients that hired the shadowrunners. The boss in particular is a Tobias Finkler, a heavy mutated and augmented troll who lives in Glow City. After a round of negotiations, part of which being that Axle wants to see Finkler explode, Obsidian and Gremlin agree, informing Getaway and Roadkill who were preparing to continue the mission.
