About me
I'm Sample Text. Lorem Ipsum, etc. This template has been stolen shamelessly from Fangblade_, who I thank immensely for saving me the pain of formatting.
I've been GMing in one form or another since 2015/2016-ish. Like many people, I started off with 5th edition D&D, and expanded out in the TTRPG world from there. I prefer running a diversity of genres; I prefer to rotate systems and flavors with every campaign that I run. I enjoy epic high fantasy, science fiction (especially Star Wars), and futuristic dystopias. Also mecha!

Style
I enjoy a variety of styles within shadowrun, running the gamut from the grittiest of Black Trenchcoats to the brightest neon-Pink Mohawks. I particularly enjoy social roleplay on my tables - my runs will usually either attempt to create conversation within the team, or provide the players with opportunities to interact with run objectives in this way. I may need to experiment with keeping runs concise in light of that.
I enjoy the legwork and investigation portion of runs, in particular constructing a web of information that the characters can use to multiple potential solutions. Even on my pink mohawk runs, legwork will always benefit you!
Detailed mapmaking is part of the fun for me, so my runs will use roll20 more often than not.
Strengths & Weaknesses
My experience with shadowrun is largely as a player up until now, apart from a rough home game that I ran some time ago. I am most experienced with matrix and meat rules; I'm competent enough with magic but don't know some of the details off the top of my head.
Oh, I'm terrible at doing voices. My NPCs will likely sound pretty similar to each other.
Pick Policy
I will prioritize:
- Characters that fit the run threat
- Characters that have in-character ties to the run content in some way
- People who are willing to engage with the world and themes of the run!
Declining the Meet
Please do not apply for one of my runs if you know your character won't accept it out of the gate. I'd prefer to be able to take a full group of people that actually intend to play through the game, rather than having to disband or rework something.
Interfering with Run Objectives
If you want to thwart the J or derail the run, then be my guest - with certain caveats. If you intend to entirely no-sell the scenario, DM me on discord before signing up, and we'll talk and see if that would lead to a fun environment for everyone. Nothing's worse than signing up for something that excites you only for it to be cut off in within the first hour.
That being said, pursuing your own little ulterior objectives or adding wrinkles... that's just part of the game, chummer!
Realism
Shadowrun is a setting that demands a certain amount of realism. Even in Pink Mohawk, mistakes will be more dangerous than not, and getting shot by enemy opfor will probably hurt. I'll generally try to stick to realistic consequences more often than not.
Failure
Sometimes, runs fail. Nobody's perfect! Unless I somehow end up running a super high threat run, though, I'm not going to really try and screw you over hard. We can talk about negative RVP on failure, especially if you burnt edge. At the end of the day, my table will try to hold to reasonable consequences for failure and injury.
