Overview
At one point in their life, Aiden Terrell was on the path to a career as a security spider. Born to a well off family in the Atlanta metroplex, their talent for decking allowed them to attend college on a full scholarship from MCT. They lived a pretty typical life for a college student; drinking, partying, and doing just enough work to avoid losing their tuition money. The ride came to an end at the start of their junior year when they unknowingly slept with a carrier of HMHVV. After an incredibly painful transformation, Aiden became a full fledged ghoul and killed their partner in a feeding frenzy.
Visibly deformed and on the hook for a murder, Aiden could no longer function in normal society. They took to the streets to both sate their hunger and escape the impending manhunt. In their desperation they fell in with a crew of Tamanous organleggers, selling their matrix skills in exchange for food and safety. They became a bona fide hacker, disabling alarms and stealing data to facilitate the group's kidnappings. The experience, while deeply traumatizing, gave Aiden a deep sense of camaraderie with the ghouls who took them in. When most of their crew was wiped out in a KE sting, they fled the city and took their skills to the shadows.
Over the next decade Aiden ran the shadows under the alias T00F, working as equal parts hacktivist and cyberterrorist. The death of their Tamanous crew had sparked a deep grudge towards non-infected, causing them to dedicate themselves to ghoul liberation by any means necessary. They've been known to associate with everyone from the GLF to Fear the Dark, and consider themselves to be aligned with the ghoul community as a whole. They've come to Seattle following the recent wave of infected purges, and are using their skills to organize resistance behind the scenes.
Traits
T00F is a curt decker with a mean streak a mile long. They're the kind of runner who loads biofeedback against a spider, and their attitude hasn't improved since becoming a fixer. They hold a deep distrust of non-infected, and unconsciously place their lives at a lower value than ghouls. That being said, they're also a professional. They've got a decade of experience in the darkest parts of the shadows, and are willing to work with anyone if it furthers their goals. They put the protection of Seattle's ghouls above all else, and believe that the best way to do that is killing those who seek to wipe them out.
Appearance
In meatspace, T00F is a lean gnawer with patchy black hair. They take great pride in their infected features, and won't try to hide them unless absolutely necessary. They have a silver datajack on the side of their head and cybereyes styled to look like they're still full of cataracts. On the job they wear dark armored clothing typical of shadowrunners. Outside of work, they're fond of low cut tank tops to show off their arms.
On the matrix, their persona takes the form of an axe wielding goblin straight out of a fantasy trid. The main difference is their mouth, which stretches from ear to ear and is filled with jagged ghoul teeth. They mark their targets by biting chunks out of their icons.
Aspects Description
Aspect | Description |
---|---|
Us or Them | T00F is extremely distrustful towards non-infected, often veering into outright prejudice. Although they believe collaboration is necessary, they're certain that non-infected will stab them in the back the first chance they get. They take a -2 to any rolls made for non-infected below loyalty 5. In addition, non-infected cannot increase their loyalty beyond 3 without a dedicated run. |
Ghoul Liberator | Under no circumstances will T00F do anything they believe will harm Seattle's infected population. If they learn that a character has dealt a significant blow to an infected group, decrease their loyalty by 1. If loyalty drops to 0, T00F will consider the character as an enemy. If they find out that a character has assisted with the purging of undead, even feral ones, the contact is immediately burned and becomes actively hostile. |
Things that go Bump in the Night | T00F has a long history of working with groups of radical infected (Fear the Dark, etc.), and gains a +2 to any networking checks made among them. |
Don't Ask Where this Came From | Although no longer an active organlegger, T00F still knows the ins and outs of the business. They've got a direct line on some of its more valuable byproducts, and gain +2 on any gear acquisition rolls related to cyberware and bioware. |
Other Side of the Coin | T00F has little patience for amateurs, and even less for unprofessionalism. That being said, they're experienced in the shadows and understand that complications sometimes happen. They work to ensure that their runners always have the resources they need, gaining +2 on any gear acquisition rolls related to a job they're acting as the J for. |
Shadow Network | T00F's spent a decade as an international shadowrunner, and has amassed an impressive list of contacts. They gain +2 to any networking checks relating to the shadow communities of north and south America. |
No Rules in an Arms Race | Decking's 60% skill, 30% luck, and 10% having nastier gear than whoever you're up against. T00F gains +2 to acquisition rolls for restricted and forbidden matrix gear. |
Infected Solidarity | Despite their (well deserved) reputation, T00F cares deeply for their fellow infected. They're willing to stick their neck out farther than most when it comes to keeping infected people safe from harm. This is a double edged sword for the runners working for them, as it can sometimes radically change the parameters of a job. |
Part of the Community | T00F hasn't been in Seattle long, but they've already begun to integrate themselves among their kin. They gain +2 to any networking checks made within the city's infected communities. |
Lifting Buddy | In the past couple of years T00F's taken to bodybuilding as a way to burn off stress. They gain +2 to any knowledge checks relating to physical fitness or pre-workout supplements. |
