Overview

Nathan's father was a Sioux Nation SINner, his mother - an "Anglo", resulting in a happy household, but prejudice outside as typical for the Sioux Nation. After her death, Nootau Senior remarried, Nathan coming to genuinely love his stepmother Carly and half-sister Evie Jefferson-Nootau, even living with them in Seattle for almost a decade while his father commuted. Sadly, after the deaths of the seniors of the patchwork family, Nathan and Evie only have each other. After Evie's graduation, he expected to live in Cheyenne with her, but Hanska Akecheta, a fellow Miracle Shooter and the grandson of a Council of Elders politician, Chaska, became infatuated with Evie to a level where she was kidnapped. Runners broke her out, killing the Akechetas, but Nathan would take no chances. He moved to Seattle with Evie, although he still works as a senior R&D designer at DeckTech Inc., a B-grade Cheyenne-based corporation producing middle-of-the-road cyberdecks, remotely now.

Working Hours	A healthy balance between work and private life is paramount if you don't want to burn out. Nathan doesn't - he's got his sister to care for - so he tunes out of business matters outside of normal PST office hours (9-5, Monday through Friday). Add +5 to the threshold of his contact availability test if trying to contact him at other times (very early in the morning, late in the evening, on the weekends).
Deck the Halls	Through his job, talent and passion, Nathan can both get you decks up to DR5 and upgrade existing hardware you've got.
Middle Shelves	Nathan believes in decks being tools for education, work and pleasure. He likes them accessible, sure, but he prefers to design better hardware than cut corners for cost lowering. Buying or upgrading decks from DR3 to DR5 is done at +2.
The Game Is Rigged	DeckTech, Inc. makes RCCs too! He can help you buy them, although they can't exceed DR5.
Talented Techie	He's mundane as a brick, but juryrigging tech is his element. Computer, Hardware and Software checks get a +2 bonus.
Fan of Flexibility	His corporation makes both fixed-array and flexible array cyberdecks. He's of the opinion the latter are better. +2 to gear acquisition checks of flexible array decks.
IT Interests	Decks and the Matrix aren't just a way to make a crust for him. They're his passion. Knowledge skills related to them and the Matrix (for example Matrix, Programming, Matrix Games etc.) are at +2. In addition, you never know if Ferocious_E-Ferret_2065 (Evie), Saule-Sorceress, xxChad_O_Runnerxx, UwU_Whazzup_666, Infrared_2_Star, LuluChimp4Ever and The_Histrollian (his sister's Miracle Shooter guildmates) can be helpful by chatting someone you lure into the host up as a distraction.
Matrix Mates	Nathan is extremely loyal once he's opened up. Matrix PCs with Loyalty 4+ receive +2 to tests he makes as he really tries his best.
