Summary

L0W-K3Y, also Known as Deszcz Kozlowski, was missing for a few days. Folks were sent to make sure she was okay. The runners helped L0W-K3Y find new employment and put the pressure on her now previous employer, but now new runners are called in to Kidnap her, on behalf of the Finnigans.

Background

L0W-K3Y Is running from gig to gig after the destruction of Farraday's Clinic. Their recent employment with a manager had her working corners, and that caused her great suffering. Now the Finnigans are after her, paying runners to kidnap her without harm. And so, runners are called in to do the gangs dirty work.

The Meet

No Significant Harassment arived first, followed by Silver Lining, then Trauma. The Trio met with Llewyn Val, a Finnigan warehouse operator. Llewyn asked the runners to kidnap L0W-K3Y, so that the two could have a chat. Llewin revealed where L0W-K3Y lived, as well as a general understanding of her position with the fins, where she used to work, her current commlink. The team agreed to help out, in return for money, and also agreed to bring L0W-K3Y in without being harmed.

The Plan

The team planned to do some legwork in the form of matrix searches, and hitting the pavement to see if they could dig up any information on L0W-K3Y in order to kidnap her without harming her.

The Run

The first few hours of legwork proved to give useful info on the location of L0W-K3Y. Her house was in redmond, and pinging her commlink showed it as being in the same place. The trio went to L0W-K3Y's apartment and started to do some investigations there.

NSH flew in her fly spy, and an initial fly by revealed a necromancer doing her magical deeds, yet when the team was going to call Knight Errant, they happened upon a nosy neighbor with an ally spirit in the shape of an aetherial fire wolf. Without getting a name, the neighbor offered insight into L0W-K3Y's disappearance and the runners who had come by from the night before, and promised to call knight errant on the runners behalf. Little did they know, the neighbor, better known as Lfrith, would not call Knight Errant on his necromancer partner, Ho'olheyak.

Upon entering L0W-K3Y's apartment, the team scanned and investigated inside, finding a hidden commlink that was unlocked, slated to be disposed. Entering the commlink revealed a damning conversation between L0W-K3Y and her ex, Aleks, showing the two cared for each other deeply, and that L0W-K3Y was at Aleks' apartment in Tacoma.

Heading there, Silver Lining and NSH did some scouting and legwork to reveal where L0W-K3Y was, finding the apartment full of five women; all people who do work at or have worked at Seattle Software and Special Investigations. Trauma decided to head in peacefully, trying to talk to L0W-K3Y and the others, however her entrance and initial lying put everyone on edge.

The team, unsure of of how to difuse the situation, called in the help of Bleach, a Finnigan Family maid and cleaner. Her arrival brought some ease to both the runners and the S3I team, as it turns out that the kidnapping was a guise to get L0W-K3Y to see the finnigans without much harm befalling L0W-K3Y.

L0W-K3Y had worked at the Helldiver bar before it was taken over by the Finnigans, but after it changed hands, she stayed on with the Helldiver staff. She needed a job to survive, and L0W-K3Y chose 'the demon you know' rather than finding a new gig. However, a few weeks after the bar changed hands, she found herself being taken hostage by a scared Finnigan after Trauma set off an under barrel grenade inside the bar.

L0W-K3Y was let go - as in was able to leave the gang's clutches - given how bad she was treated. Yet even still, there were those sympathetic to her after everything that had happened. So, Llewyn wanted to reach out to offer a peace offering to L0W-K3Y, but she feared that the Finnigans and even the O'Malleys might take ire to giving away Finnigan funds or goods. So, Llewyn devised a quiet, under-wraps kidnapping of L0W-K3Y so that the two could chat in private, in which Llewyn would apologize, and offer them help or nuyen if they needed security after losing their job.

And so, with Bleach having described the situation to the girls from S3I, difused the situation, and L0W-K3Y agreed to come meet with Llewyn, should she be able to bring Aleks.

Aftermath

With the conversation between Llewin and L0W-K3Y, things seem to be settled. Aleks and Deszcz have a long talk about their life, their breakup especially. Deszcz was let go by Aleks because Deszcz was too butt headed, never wanting to ask for help, even after she started working as a sex worker. Aleks, as well as Senomy, Edelweiss, and Artemi, all agreed to help look after Deszcz, so long as she promised to open up, and ask for help.
