Summary
Osborne high in Puyallup was starting to struggle with a local drug ring that was pushing out more aggressively into the student body, leading to a student with ties to the ring disappeared from a local orphanage. Awesome Possum, a former resident of said orphanage, was contacted and asked if a small runner team would be up for some low rent hooder work helping unravel the mystery, find the boy, and break up the gang.
Background
Some of this team was already suffering from fallout from their last run, so that made things extra spicy for almost everyone. Meanwhile a mid range distributor for the David Cartel decided he was going to break free and set up a drug ring with a truckload of stolen drugs. He set up in a stuffer shack in Puyallup, bought off the staff and found a gang of street kids that were already moving in a similar direction.
The Meet
The meet was a polite affair at the Puyallup St. Francis House orphanage. The staff of the orphanage was clearly concerned and gave the team a wealth of information to begin the legwork.
The Plan
Talk to the related kids, fosters and family. Stake out the neighborhood to find some of the faces everyone know is involved. "Do it live."
The Run
Awesome Possum and Goedesic head over to meet with another kid at the Orphanage who had already given some info to the caretakers but was nervous about giving more. That put the team in the direction of a stuffer shack in Puyallup where some of the stuff seemed to be going down.
Poe and Narukami went to investigate the stuffer, using a combination of physical and magical infiltration and detection to piece a lot of the ring together. The drugs were stored in a hidden room in the attic of a stuffer shack, and the clerks of the stuffer were selling the drugs along with existing items in the store.
At this point the team meets up and agrees to keeps staking out the stuffer shack, Poe and and a shaken by being around Poe Geo stayed behind while Narukami and AP went to talk to the missing boy's sister who had been staying in another foster family. Possum managed to coax a commlink id from the sister, who let the team know the coms would still be on. Geodesic tracked the commlink while they began the second stage of stakeout, but left a merk behind, alerting the target. This immediately lead to everyone rushing across the neighborhood to a storage location on the other side of Puyallup, where things got hectic, quickly.
The team pulled up to a mostly abandoned industrial neighborhood and identified it as the appropriate building, the team rushing the door into a room with a handful of resistance guards and a few mages who were in on the operation. The team quickly took to the room, dismantling the mages rapidly and taking down the guards or sending them running.
The team prepped up to chuck and charge the second room with a flash bang they realized the mage that had crawled out from the wave of stick and shock and APDS in the previous room was screaming for her life and banging on an insulated security door leading to a basement. The near dead mage quickly sold out her employers for her life, and the team cracked the lock and confirmed the targets were in a basement room screaming at each other. It didn't take long for the team to round them out. Realizing that the target was already running a small operation when the David Cartel's target found him and supercharged it. The team convinced the kid to shut it down and go home, that it wasn't too late for him to get out, and that the gangster he was working with would no longer be a problem. Poe delivered an unconscious, unharmed and restrained Hector to the Cartel for "processing." and sent out bonus money when it cleared.
