Summary
Background
“I have a friend in delicate circumstances. She wants revenge but does not want some of her friends in the Shadowhaven to know about it. I have no qualms in that regard so I am representing her. The Meet
The team meets the Black Tie Affair piano bar, arriving individually to discuss the job with the Johnson. The J explains that John Overton is incredibly slippery and has dodged mundane justice in Montreal and so his client is looking for extra-judicial. After some negotiation, the J offers payment, as well as two days of drone footage of the mansion where Overton is, safe travel in and out of Montreal.
The Plan
The team debates vehicle issues. Extensively. They finally settle on renting a vehicle once they're on ground in Montreal.
Drone Footage:
- Bridge to island where the Estate is on. Bridge has standard security guards. Gate to cross the bridge
- 3 Teams of similar low level security guards around the estate.
- Every dawn and dusk, magician arrives and summons a Spirit of Man, looking like an indian warrior or a greek warrior. There is a half hour period at dawn and dusk where there is no spirit coverage.
- External cameras on house. At least one drone in the air - patrol round is 100m radius around the house.
- Island is AA Security Zone
The Divination:
- Situation - Justice, Reversed (Dishonesty, corruption, unfairness, avoiding accountability). Probably the situation with the target, John Overton
- Obstacle - The Magician (A skilled, strong, powerful man. Pure willpower). Could be the guard magicians, could be Overton himself
- Solution - Temperence (balance, patience, moderation. Avoid extremes). Likely means best route through is quiet, problems if we go loud
Tentative Plan:
- Quill on Physical overwatch with sniper rifle
- Tempest on magical overwatch and wrecking ball if/when things go loud

The Run
Montreal Information
MONTREAL NORTH & ST. LEONARD Northern Montreal is basically composed of two municipalities, Ahuntsic-Cartierville and aptly name Montreal North. Just south of Montreal North is Saint Leonard. These districts are almost a perfect mix of every other neighborhood on the island. Some of the poorest hovels give way to nice waterfront middle-class housing. Anglos and Francophones of a multitude of nationalities eye each other across narrow streets. Uniting these differences, however, is one strong factor: this is organized crime territory. Saint Leonard is home to Montreal’s venerable Italian community, a community that hasn’t much evolved. There are some families there that, though they’ve been here for generations, have never left Saint Leonard and barely speak anything other than their native Italian. As an accepted part of life, the Mafia has thrived in this environment. Omertà is just how it is. From this base, the Mafia long ruled the city, demanding la pisa, protection money, from the many Italian eateries, bars, coffee shops, and groceries throughout the city. The Mafia’s dominance was severely challenged in the last few decades by the ascendancy of go-gangs, to a point where they wield little influence. However, in Saint Leonard, things don’t change. Guys in suits with slick haircuts can still be found hanging around in coffee shops, and everyone has a cousin that can “help them out” with problems. If you’re looking to make contact with wiseguys, you know where to find them.
The rest of Northern Montreal is similarly dominated by local ethnic Mafias. With a large Carib population, Haitian gangs dominate the area. Drugs and prostitution are mainly their trade, though they are small-time compared to the other syndicates. Some of these guys are backed by bikers, some by the Mafia. Proxy wars are still common, and cold blooded executions in the streets are just something that happens.
The Legwork:
Sniper Search
- Weather for the next few days is misty with 20% chance of rain, but no high winds.

- On reviewing drone footage, day two has a truck come into the house with "Saint Leonard Catering".
- Thankfully, it seems like this catering service is the one owned operated by the local mafia organization
Information from Fratelli
- Fratelli's uncle controls the Catering Company
- Overton Estate: Address, Comm Number, and partial guest list for a party being catered by St. Leonard Catering. Party is about fifty people, in a few days.
- Overton Sliding Windows: Address, comm number, rumors that the company is being sold, bidding by the Hellsouls biker gang and the other is the Rossi mafia family.
