Overview
Elliot Kwan is a recent grad with a soft brain and a hard work ethic. A UW Seattle business diploma gathering dust, hundreds of unanswered job applications, and a CV padded with meaningless extracurriculars finally pushed him to walk into Backseat Solutions Ltd. wearing a wrinkled blazer and desperation like cologne. Yang didn’t hire him for his brilliance—he hired him because Elliot wouldn't stop showing up. He operates under 3 basic instructions:
- Reject 95% of incoming inquiries.
- No questioning why Backseat was rarely ever in the office.
- Don't touch the back cabinet. Ever.
Elliot now works the front desk, handles commlink scheduling, filters inquiries and—unbeknownst to him at first—performs light matrix searches and background reports for what he assumes are “competitive analyses” or “client vetting.” He’s surprisingly good at it, with a mind for patterns and a growing skillset in OSINT (open-source intelligence).
