Overview
Elliot Kwan is a recent grad with a soft brain and a hard work ethic. A UW Seattle business diploma gathering dust, hundreds of unanswered job applications, and a CV padded with meaningless extracurriculars finally pushed him to walk into Backseat Solutions wearing a wrinkled blazer and desperation like cologne. Backseat didn’t hire him for his brilliance—he hired him because Elliot wouldn't stop showing up. He operates under 3 basic instructions:
- Reject 95% of incoming inquiries.
- No questioning why the boss is never there.
- Don't touch the back cabinet. Ever.
Elliot now works the front desk, handles scheduling, filters inquiries and—unbeknownst to him at first—performs light matrix searches and background reports for what he assumes are “competitive analyses” or “client vetting.” He’s surprisingly good at it, with a mind for patterns and a growing skillset in OSINT (open-source intelligence). He has no idea that he's helping perform matrix legwork for his boss's criminal activites or that Backseat Solutions is a front company with only minimal legitimate consulting work being done for appearences sake. He has a feeling some of the work he does is “weird,” but hasn't put the shadowrunning puzzle together yet.
