Summary
S3I had heard rumors of Dr. Nina Farraday's appearance. Now they confirm it and extract the doctor, thanks to the help of some discerning runners.
Background
Dr. Nina Farraday and the S3I had always had a close relationship, at least since the S3I and the good doctor started working together. This could be seen in the events of the metaplot And Love You Shall Find Where Dr. Nina Farraday Set up her clinic in good faith. Since their separation, S3I had been surveilling the good doctor in order to keep her safe. Now, it was unavoidable that people were starting to find out.
The Meet
The runners Honeypie and Drengr meet with S3I's Jessica Brinley in a small office. The three talk about the gig; find the remnants of the gang who were related to the incident of Hic Svnt Leones, find out if they knew who Farraday was, and then go to Farraday and extract them. The runners agreed and took no item or help from S3I.
The Plan
Figuring that the remnants of "the princes" were probably holed up at The Helldiver, the team sought to find them there.
The Run
A quick search turned this idea fruitful, showing that the remnants were actually there. However, they needed some greasing, and so between some social checks, a few drinks, and a kiss on the cheek, it turns out that the princes didn't know who Farraday was. Instead, they turned their gaze on some of the others in the room. Finding someone sufficiently elfy and suspicious, they asked them plainly if they knew who this picture of Farraday was. He affirmed that the person they were looking for was his neighbor, so they waited until night to go seek the doctor.
Heading to the apartments, they checked in with the man who revealed himself to be a one L'Frith. His ally spirit followed the runners directly into Farraday's apartment, and a short conversation between Farraday and Lind-Zei was interupted by some unscrupulous folk with a shit ton of C4. Not being surprised thanks to Honeypie's drone, the team prepper for an ambush. A small yet intense battle left the runners feeling the effects of bullets, but left the opposition completely toast.
After feeding the bodies to L'Frith's companion, Ho'olheyak, the cadre of two runners and two doctors made their way back to S3I, where Dr. Nina Farraday was welcomed as a hero.
Aftermath
S3I Reunited with Farraday, and the runners were payed. Questions answered, but much was left unasked. This will have repercussions in the weeks to follow...
