Summary

Runners go into a pit fight, get their asses kicked but convince the target midfight, speaking through fists instead of words. Junichiro listens to reason and the runners succeed.

Background

Junichiro lost his mother last year due to an accident. He blamed his father and took the money from the life insurance policy to upgrade himself with a stupid amount of ware. He left his father and started to get into actual fighting arenas in order to run away from his emotions.

The Meet

The meet goes off without a hitch at the residence of Tomaya Yamada, who bows his head and asks the runners to save his son before he is too far gone. He agrees to pay them 2k Nuyen and connect them with someone who he knows as a contact for their needs.

The Plan

The plan was simple, go to the place and fight like champions.

The Run

The actual plan failed when they met the enemy. Instead of 2 versus 1, they decided to fight 1 on 1 at first to their detriment. The runners fought Junichiro to a near standstill but lost barely after at many combat turns. He had won the hardest fight yet but at the same time Wayfarer's words got through to him during the fighting and he internalized them.

Aftermath

Junichiro sees sense after winning at a stupidly high cost, thanking the runners reluctantly as his father collects him to take him home for extended medical care. The runners are thanked and given their payment for a job well done. (Ronin and Wayfarer needed some minor surgery, not a big deal)
