The runners are contracted to sabotage an underground Mitsuhama concept car that is participating in the Redmond Run, an underground street race.
Background

"Friend of a friend slid me this one. Got a run on a Mitsuhama concept car being trialed in an off-the-books steet race in Redmond. Job includes breaking into their temp garage, sabotaging the car, and getting out. Client prefers car is still drivable for the race - blowing it up won't get Mitsu to drop the project, just remake the car.
Bogart"
The Meet
Located in the Matrix Host, "Thin ICE", the team meets with the johnson, Bogart. Geodesic seems to be having an issues with their decaying dissonance as they enter. After meeting with Bogart, the team takes the job, though they negotiate for additional cash towards vehicles. A really baller negotiation from Fennec nets a huge boost to the amount of cash the runners will get towards vehicles and car mods.
The Plan
"Fuck it, we'll do it live."
AKA: Break in, make it look like a smash and grab, and sabotage the car while they're there.
The Run
Day 1
The team meets at a demolished stuffer shack located in Redmond in order to do some initial matrix searches and make some phone calls. They call Lee Owens and don't get much outside of it being a well known local street race. Fennec next calls News Van Dan who tells them that almost all of the racers inside the Redmond Run are sponsored by, or directly working for, most of the corps. Chance calls Clint Wilder and discovers that most of the Yaks coming into the run are only getting things like reaction boosters installed. Fennec recalls that the Yakuza tends use the Redmond Run as a sort of arena and proving ground for lower ranked yaks. For them, it's more of a sport (with associated gambling). Chance recalls that he can narrow down the actual location of the run, which means the general couple of blocks where all the garages are likely to be.
Chance and Geo conduct some matrix searches from the Mitsuhama grid and find some very non-descript records of shipping notes - what strikes them as strange is the sheer quantity - over 50,000 individual line items, and the fact that it's been consistently shipped to a location in the Barrens. It seems to be one of those 'following the rules' records while explicitly trying to not advertise WHAT is being sent.
The team sets up some disguises (basically 3 hits each) in order to head out and do some meatspace scouting. They manage to spot a couple of KE Undercovers that seem to be keeping an eye on things down near the garage. They manage to sleeze onto some of the commlinks in order to discover that the pawns have been paid off to keep an eye on the race shenanigans and generally stay out of anything that's not interfering in the race.
Geo goes looking for hosts and realizes that most of the garage style buildings are sporting very subtle hosts and realizes that most of the garages are sporting powerful hosts which seem to be devoid of any clear marking and has been specifically built close to the ground. The team decides that they're going to honeypot Fennec in order to hook one of the presumed techs inside the garage in order to get information or possibly if they're lucky enough something like a maglock key. They use their powers of psychology to craft the perfect honeypot profile for Fennec. Because we're serious Shadowrunners here.
They manage to find one - Yuji, a Mitsuhama employee into cars and e-girls with fur. Yuji appears to work with handling on the car, and that there is some corp security inside the garage.
Day 2
On the morning stakeout, Buck realizes the garage has eight scientists and four corpsec that rotate through in 12 hour intervals. The team stages themselves in the last hour of the night shift where the only people inside is the night shift corpsec.
Buck takes his ADHD meds. The decker and techno team break out the hard drugs and do some lines of betameth and kamikaze. Chance spoofs one of the local pawns commlinks about an office down call out in Bargain Basement and Buck shoots the camera with a R6 Looper round. They resolve the maglocked door by application of "Troll with Crowbar". Fennec attempts to hack the maglock when Buck puts the crowbar in on the wrong side. After a number of failed attempts, and Chance trying to slash the doorknob off, Buck manages to pry the door open loudly. They make handy work of the corporate security guards present and begin trying to hack the car.
As the group begins poking through the car, they become aware that some of the distant pawns are on their way since a large amount of gunshots were heard. As they begin hacking the car, they realize that the code designing the car is super unstable and that each time they edit it, they risk an unintended side effect. Their second hack is to GIGO the car so that whenever the high performance mode is engaged, it reverts to normal performance instead. Buck covers Geo's nosebleed with some Cleaner Cleaner and the team sneaks out while avoiding the incoming Knight Errant undercovers.
