Overview
Elliot Kwan is a recent grad with a soft brain and a hard work ethic. A UW Seattle business diploma gathering dust, hundreds of unanswered job applications, and a CV padded with meaningless extracurriculars finally pushed him to walk into Backseat Solutions Ltd. wearing a wrinkled blazer and desperation like cologne. Yang didn’t hire him for his brilliance—he hired him because Elliot wouldn't stop showing up. He operates under 3 basic instructions:
- Reject 95% of incoming inquiries.
- No questioning why the boss is never there.
- Don't touch the back cabinet. Ever.
Elliot now works the front desk, handles scheduling, filters inquiries and—unbeknownst to him at first—performs light matrix searches and background reports for what he assumes are “competitive analyses” or “client vetting.” He’s surprisingly good at it, with a mind for patterns and a growing skillset in OSINT (open-source intelligence). He has no idea that he's helping perform matrix legwork for his boss's criminal activites or that Backseat Solutions is a front company with only minimal legitimate consulting work being done for appearences sake. He has a feeling some of the work he does is “weird,” but hasn't put the shadowrunning puzzle together yet.

| Matrix Search | Suprisingly competent - he can dig up digital dirt, trace public records, spot discrepancies and find obscure social media posts. |
| Profiler | Is able to profile a person based off information gathered from matrix searches, helping understanding what buttons to push to manipulate them. Can use net hits on matrix search test as teamwork dice to social tests and limit (maximum of +3). Dossier is gathered via matrix search test with threshold of 3 but depending on individual can be as high as 6 (GM discretion). Information required is always obscure (-2 modifier) and may be On Another Grid (further -2 modifier, GM discretion). Using Profiler quality from Data Trails page 416. |
