Summary

Naomi Fisk, having a career in escorting and modelling, had an acquaintance go missing recently. Given the sudden disappearance and the intrigue related to it all, Naomi hires close work aquaintances to investigate. Thunder and Chameleon look into things and find answers they didn't want to find.

Background

Naomi's background and experience has over time put her in contact with many callgirls, models, and escorts. Yet, over time she had accrued a few folks that she kept in contact with somewhat more important. One of those, a girl named Jessica Boydd, had gone missing, and so in order to find them and what happened, Naomi reached out to people who she trusted, especially given she wasn't sure who to trust.

The Meet

The team meets with a very anxious Naomi, who explains the situation of her missing friend.

• Naomi is anxious
• Naomi agrees to go to the bolt, as Chameloen and thunder are worried about their safety
• Thunder brings a bound spirit to watch over Naomi for 12 ish hours, attack anyone who harms Naomi
• Chameleon uses stealth tags and sensor tags to bug the room so they'd know if anyone enters.

The Plan

The team plans to check out the place where Naomi's friend, Jessica Boydd's body was processed.

• Thunder casts spells in private to help with their abilities, but takes much stun doing so.
• Matrix searches reveal Jesica's P2.1 profile, and her sister, Thomas Boydd.
• As well, that she works for someone in Redmond named Brick.

The Run

Starting off...

• The team heads to Johan Liebert's place, to try and Find Jessica's corpse.
• Johan and Wira are found arguing about the morality of selling corpses, and what to do if there is a murder etc.
• Johan says his hands are tied, but offers the last known public location so long as they keep his involvement in the team's actions have no tie to Liebert.
• Johan also mentions they can talk to Wira, but only if they can calm her / talk with them.
• Wira is talked to, and confirmation is given that the runners are on her side.

After leaving Johan's Place...

• Thomas asks the runners if "times are gone for honest men" as if asking for a call and response, but the runners don't know the answer.
• Runners try to talk to him, but it seems like even with a smidge of pragmatism Thomas is unwilling to respond
• Though, Chameleon tries to pluck the heart strings and wins Thomas over to ask some questions based on the fact her sister is missing.
• Thomas is asked to search for data if passed onto him with KE's database. Thomas makes no promise, but says she'll help out if she can.

At the graveyard...

• It is revealed that Jessica's grave, as well as others, had been disturbed.
• Assensing reveals a leftover high force ritual done in the dead of night, to create a corpse cadavre, done near Jessica's grave.
• Thunder summons a spirit to help find the origin of the astral signature while Chameleon cleans up the grave.
• The cleansed area will return to a normal hue after being cleansed by the runners.
• Yet soon after a portly man runs out to them, gun loaded and ready, to push them off the property.
• Though Chameleon diffuses the situation and negotiates with the graveyard keeper to nab the tapes for the burial of Jessica Boydd.
• The team buys the footage from the night before where Jessica was hastily buried, revealing that the Finnigans were involved in what happened.

Aftermath

A conversation with Naomi reveals that the situation evolving is a lot larger, more in-depth than what was original planned. Given the situation, they decided that it would be best to regroup and tackle each objective head on one at a time. So, the team decides to take a breather and come back to things once they've all had time to recuperate, and that Naomi has time to figure things out in terms of other runners.
